In the United States, as of early 2020, the median full-time weekly earnings of White, non-hispanic, men were only 80.5% of earnings of Asian men. The median weekly earnings of White, non-hispanic, women were only 78% of Asian women.
In other words, White, non-hispanic, Americans earn only around 80 cents for each dollar that Asians earn. This pay gap is similar to that between men and women, which was 80.4 cents for each dollar in early 2020.
As of 2019, Asian-Indian households have the highest median earnings and income of all ethnic groups in the United States. Median annual earnings are $148,019 and income is $114,261.
“Does Ro Khanna envision a future in which white plumbers in Nebraska pay reparations to elite Indian immigrants in Silicon Valley?”, asks Patrick Hawley in “Indian Silicon Valley Democrat Ro Khanna Pushes For ‘Brown’ Reparations Against Interest of Whites: What Qualifies as Brown?” By Patrick Hawley, June 29, 2021 https://nationalfile.com/indian-silicon-valley-democrat-ro-khanna-pushes-for-brown-reparations-against-interest-of-whites
California’s Representative in the US House: Ro Khanna @RoKhanna Jun 27 tweet: “When we talk about targeted reparations, we’re talking about providing Black and Brown communities the same opportunities to build generational wealth that white families have https://twitter.com/RoKhanna/status/1409213945160798220
As of early 2020, earnings of Asian men ($1,360) and women ($1,106) were significantly higher than those of their Black, Hispanic, and non-Hispanic White counterparts. This is for full-time workers.
Median weekly earnings for White [Non-Hispanic] men were only 80.5% ( $1,096) of the median for Asian men ($1,360).
Median weekly earnings for White [Non-Hispanic] women were $873 or 78% of Asian women.
Furthermore, mostly new Asian immigrants have benefitted from affirmative action-diversity and “minority” loans and contract set asides, which most Americans believed to be reparations-leveling the playing field for African Americans.
Meanwhile, white and black Americans, as well as earlier Asian immigrants, have had their jobs literally stolen by newer immigrants on H Visas, and through family joining, for over half a century.
Without decent jobs, any wealth quickly dissipates.
You can’t get blood out of a turnip, but racist upper caste elites from India, like Ro Khanna, seem hell-bent to try. They apparently won’t be satisfied until multi-generational Americans are treated like the upper castes treated India’s untouchables (Dalits).
It appears that most upper caste Asian-Indians, within the United States, owe reparations to both the untouchables of India and to Americans who were already in the United States before the onslaught of upper caste Asian-Indians on H-visas.
As of 2019, Asian-Indian households have the highest median income of all ethnic groups at $114,261; Median earnings of $148,019. https://factfinder.census.gov/faces/tableservices/jsf/pages/productview.xhtml?src=bkmk https://miningawareness.wordpress.com/2019/08/23/us-census-asian-men-earn-over-twice-as-much-as-black-women/
Once Asian, Hispanics, African, and Caribbean peoples are citizens, they are eligible for minority business loans and minority contract set-asides. They also count as “diversity”, and have literally pushed Black Americans, whose ancestors were enslaved within the United States, out of academic and other professional jobs. Meanwhile illegal workers and H2-Bs lock Americans out of working class jobs.
As of early 2020, weekly earnings of Asian men ($1,360) and women ($1,106) were significantly higher than those of their Black, Hispanic, and White counterparts. Median weekly earnings for Black men were $823, or 67.4 percent of the median for Asian men ($1,360). Median earnings for Hispanic men were $763, or 56 percent of the median for Asian men ($1,360). Median average weekly earnings for White [Non-Hispanic] men were 80.5% of the median for Asian men ($1,360). Black women’s median earnings were $742, or 67 percent of Asian women ($1,106). Median earnings for Hispanic women were $678, or 61.3 percent of those for Asian women. Median earnings for White [Non-Hispanic] women were $873 or 78% of those for Asian women. Based on bls.gov statistics. See US Bureau of Labor Statistics, April 21, 2020, TED: “Women had median weekly earnings of $857, or 80.4 percent of men’s earnings, first quarter 2020” APRIL 21, 2020 https://archive.is/05k79
This masks disparities between Asian groups. The highest earning Asians are from India.
Nonetheless, if we are going to talk about ethnic “privilege”, we should be talking about “Asian privilege”, and not “White privilege”.
