Hopefully the Christine Fang spy story, which features Eric Swalwell, Ro Khanna, Tulsi Gabbard, and others, will draw attention to the fact that members of the US Congress do NOT undergo security clearance like other people who work for the US government and who may see secrets – translators, for instance. There is no known proof of wrong-doing, but it needs to serve as a warning. After an FBI briefing, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has said that Swalwell should be removed from the US House Intel Committee.

Ro Khanna sits on the US House Armed Services Committee which “oversees all laws pertaining to the United States military and exercises oversight on the annual national defense budget” and “is also a member the Readiness and Strategic Forces subcommittees.” He is on the House Budget Committee. Ro Khanna’s grandfather, Amarnath Vidyalankar, helped create the [India National] “Congress Forum for Socialist Action”, which influenced Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and India, and apparently led India to its pro-Soviet tilt (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics). The Forum for Socialist Action was infiltrated by the Communist Party of India and one of its leading figures was recruited in 1971 by the KGB as Agent RERO for both political intelligence and as a KGB agent recruiter, according to the Mitrokhin archives.

Nonetheless, at the time of his grandfather, India was an ally of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) and today India is an ally of Russia. India was and is “non-aligned” meaning that they play off all sides, but the non-aligned movement tilted to the Soviet Union, and included Cuba.

The focus has been on Eric Swalwell. This is not surprising, since new immigrants-their offspring, like Ro Khanna, are generally given a carte-blanche free pass and never criticized. Since Swalwell is apparently a multi-generational American, he is considered fair game to criticize. While Swalwell is on the Intelligence Committee, Khanna is on important committees, too. Ro Khanna’s grandfather appears to have been close to Indira and was in her Congress Party. He was a member India’s Parliament – maybe in her Cabinet, in the period of the emergency (1971-77). Thus, he apparently voted for the state of Emergency, and seems to have helped to finally end it. Information on Kamala Harris’ grandfather is sparse, but we know that he worked for the Government of India, as a diplomat, under Indira. Nevertheless, what he was doing during the emergency remains unknown. Depending on the timeline, his stints along the Bangladesh border and in Zambia suggest that he may have worked with the KGB. Spies often use diplomatic cover, as well.

We do know that in Kamala’s formative years, in Montreal and India, she was surrounded by the concept of State of Emergency, unlike those Americans born and bred In the USA. It’s probably Montreal’s October crisis, which created the opportunity for her mother to work at Montreal English institutions- The Jewish hospital and McGill.

And, yes, this matters. There’s also a double standard. New Americans are allowed a tabula rasa, blank slate. When politicians are multigenerational American born and raised, everything is fair game for investigation, going back for generations. The only investigation done of Kamala was a quick glance of her Montreal high school years, by Canadian journalists, and a bit on her Jamaican family history mostly provided by her father, in a Jamaica newspaper.

Above all, everyone is ignoring the national security risk that her maternal uncle, G. Balachandran, poses to the United States. G. Balachandran’s daughter lives in the United States, apparently in DC, and is close to Kamala Harris. He has admitted to communicating with Kamala via his daughter.

It’s funny that no one asks why it is that once India got its independence so many of the offspring of “freedom fighters” decided to leave the country rather than staying to build their country up. Again and again one sees in the bios of immigrants from India (and their children) about how their father or grandfather fought for the independence of India. So, why did they leave? My ancestors didn’t fight in the American Revolution against Britain and then say good luck with that project – let me go to another country “for a better life”. Nor did they abandon the country during hard times during and after the US Civil War. Of course, conditions were so dire that they probably didn’t have the means to leave, and where should they go? South America? There was no “right of return” to their ancestral homelands, like most recent immigrants have. Since most of these immigrants from India are upper caste, Brahmins or merchant castes, it seems that either they really didn’t want a democratic India (where they had to share with the Dalits-untouchable under-castes), and/or that they came as spies. In one of the most peculiar and criminal moves ever, the United States government decided to give minority status and minority contract set-asides, meant for descendants of America’s under-caste slaves and victims of Jim Crow laws-segregation, to Brahmin and other upper-caste elites from India. It appears that the upper castes of India were not pleased with the affirmative action (reservation) for the under castes within India, but happy to come get affirmative action for themselves in the United States. Giving the upper castes from India affirmative action is similar to if the USA were to give white South African immigrants affirmative action. How is everyone so blind to this?
