Litvinenko may have said this simply out of anger. Considering that Putin, Litvinenko and Kalugin are all KGB, nothing which comes out of their mouths should be trusted. There is a picture at the link, further below, so you can judge for yourself.

The entire world risks drinking radioactive everything because so many in America and Europe are so weirdly entranced by former KGB-FSB-Stasi Officer Putin that they’ve continued to support him even as he destroys a small country next door. Now that’s perverted. Others have woken up a bit too late. Why would otherwise intelligent people believe anything that comes out of the mouth of Mr. KGB Putin? It is unfathomable. How do otherwise decent people support a former KGB officer who threatened to rape the dead bodies of Ukrainians and then invaded Ukraine, raining death and destruction upon them? It is unfathomable. It is common knowledge that those obsessed with giant nuclear and non-nuclear missiles, like those that Putin has pointed at Ukraine, for over a year, do so because they feel sexually inadequate. Putin implied in a speech, shortly before the invasion, that he would rape the dead bodies of Ukrainians. Now he has rained death upon Ukraine. That’s perverted. He doesn’t have to be a paedophile to be evil and perverted. But, anything is possible with this man.

However, the most insanely mind-blowing of all is that otherwise intelligent Americans believe anything that comes out of the mouth of Mr. KGB Putin, especially those alive during the Cold War. It just blows my mind.

And, by the way, nuclear material is now unmonitored by the IAEA at Chernobyl… so the nuclear material could be disappeared to poison people or make a weapon.
