In videos, below, US General Wesley Clark discusses and explains things in the sort of no-nonsense, non-political, way that one would expect of a US General.

In stark contrast, many former members of the US military are a good reminder that the US hasn’t won a war since World War II. Some can’t even completely hide their Putin fetish. More generally, the manner in which many so-called conservatives keep demonstrating their love of Putin and, thus, their hate of freedom and basic decency, as well as demonstrating their hate of the western world, is sheerly and utterly revolting. Being a conservative isn’t supposed to mean rolling back the clock to kingship or dictatorship. Putin is a predator and bully, and predators and bullies only respect strength. Bullies are usually cowards, and it’s common knowledge that predators can sense fear and act upon it. He’s also testimony to the corrupted morals that so frequently come with wealth based upon basic resource extraction, rather than work.

Americans used to be able to count on military, police, and doctors to be non-political. No longer. Americans on the left and right used to hate tyranny. No longer. And, Russia’s ALWAYS been the epitome of tyranny: from the Tsars to the Soviets to Putin. The more Russia changes, the more it’s the same thing.

The USA is large and, contrary to popular opinion, much of the country remained free of the jack-boots of Covid-19 tyranny. And, any attempts in that direction were simply ignored until they went away.

Neither Trump nor Biden are the same thing. Neither Zelenskiy nor pro-Russian Ukrainian President Yanukovych are the same thing. Meanwhile, for 22 years, Putin’s the same thing.

While we suspect that China’s behind Russia’s decision to invade, it’s interesting that those who were screaming China, China the loudest are now blaming the west, rather than Putin.

In the below interview, from yesterday, Former NATO Supreme Allied Commander General Clark wondered the obvious about the issue of sending Polish fighter jets to Ukraine:
1. Why this issue of delivering the fighter jets has dragged out for 10 days.
2. Why this isn’t being handled quietly.

Why the US rejected plan to deliver Polish jets to Ukraine“: https://youtu.be/GDVpeWv0F6g

Blogger note: Poland shares a border with Ukraine. If they cannot be stealthily moved across the border, then the planes can, and should be flown, to a third non-NATO country and then be flown in by either Ukrainian pilots or foreign volunteers. Those fighter jets were proposed before Russia took control of their largest nuclear power station. And, they might have helped stop Russia from taking the nuclear power stations.

In the interview, below, US General Clark says that when he dealt with Russians, that they believed that the Eastern European countries were theirs, so there is a risk that the Russian military invades NATO countries. His analysis is worth listening to and more subtle than it sounds in the summary.

Ukraine is simply the first battle’: Former NATO Supreme Allied Commander

Published on Mar 10, 2022
Former NATO Supreme Allied Commander Wesley Clark told DW that he was “surprised by the ineffectiveness of the Russian military” in Ukraine. “The Russians have proven themselves a relatively inept force,” he said. Clarke said “any negotiations will be determined by the outcome on the ground, [which is determined by the resistance of the Ukrainians” and that NATO should increase its support to Ukraine by giving it “javelins, stingers and as much anti-air and air support as is feasible to do.” Clark added that although it wasn’t possible to establish a “legalistic” no-fly zone in Ukraine, “air support can be provided by nations who are willing to go in.” When asked if NATO air support could lead to further escalation and the outbreak of a third world war, Clark said “if we fall back and are intimidated by Mr. Putin’s threat of nuclear weapons, if there’s nothing we can do to help Ukraine, then we’ll be dealing with the next crisis on NATO’s territory itself.”

“Escalation by Mr. Putin is not solely under the control of NATO,” Clarke said, adding that Putin may decide to escalate regardless of NATO’s actions. Clarke said that, although Russian forces were currently “checked” on the ground by Ukraine, this could change quickly as Russia ramps up bombing and shelling of population centers. Putin is “trying to steal Ukraine as quietly and quickly as he can,” Clark said. “But he will use massive firepower if necessary.” https://youtu.be/RFXArMvzRjg

THE DANGEROUS ALLURE OF THE NO-FLY ZONE” By Mike Pietrucha and Mike Benitez March 4, 2022 Excerpt: “Contrary to what so many in the commentariat seem to believe, a no-fly zone is not a military half-measure. It is a combat operation designed to deprive the enemy of its airpower, and it involves direct and sustained fighting” Read the article here: https://warontherocks.com/2022/03/the-dangerous-allure-of-the-no-fly-zone/

General Clark on the Iraq Invasion | American War Generalshttps://youtu.be/UcWs4TFSjrY

US General Clark says exactly what I thought at the time – the intelligence, which he had, didn’t support the excuses given for invading Iraq. My opinion and opposition to the Iraq war was based on simple knowledge of history. His was based on official intelligence.

Here’s betting that the same people who acted like the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were football games are the same ones loving on Putin and hating on NATO so much that we had to use a CNN video. DW is interesting because they are German government owned and the Germans have been infatuated with Putin, as well.
