National Independence Day (Polish: Narodowe Święto Niepodległości) is a national day in Poland celebrated on 11 November to commemorate the anniversary of the restoration of Poland’s sovereignty as the Second Polish Republic in 1918 from the German, Austro-Hungarian and Russian Empires. Following the partitions in the late 18th century, Poland ceased to exist for 123 years until the end of World War I, when the destruction of the neighbouring powers allowed the country to reemerge. It is a non-working day and a flag flying day in Poland.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Independence_Day_(Poland)

National Independence Day – Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki took part in the official celebrations
11/11/2022
On the occasion of Independence Day, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki laid flowers at the monuments of the Fathers of Independence, participated in the ceremonial Warta Briefing and the ceremony of laying flowers in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

The head of government also laid a wreath from the nation at the Monument to Marshal Józef Piłsudski. The ceremonial celebrations paid tribute to our ancestors who fought for the independence of our homeland. Independent and free Poland should be the highest value of each of us – we must care for our freedom and cherish the memory of those who were ready to give up everything for it. At the same time, let us enjoy the fact that we are Poles and let us not be ashamed to say what we love our homeland for.

“We want an independent Poland, so that we can arrange a better and fairer life there for everyone.” – J. Piłsudski

November 11 is a holiday for all Polish women and men. Our holiday. This is the day when we remember the perseverance and heroism of our ancestors who built Polish identity and statehood despite the difficult history.

Today, especially, seeing Russia’s criminal and groundless aggression to Ukraine’s independence, we appreciate and emphasize that freedom and independence are not given once and for all. We must cherish these values, remember them and defend them at every step, because they are the basis of Polishness and the achievements of us, our ancestors and our descendants. It is the love of freedom and independence that creates the continuity and pride of our nation.

Today, in a sovereign and democratic Poland, we are building together what our ancestors fought for for centuries – a free Poland.

– Thanks to independence, we can be ourselves, enjoy freedom, plan the future on our own terms, simply be hosts in our own home – emphasized the head of the government.

Independence Day is a solemn, but above all joyful holiday

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki today asks all Polish women and men to spend our national holiday in a joyful way, enjoying the fact that we live in a free and independent Poland, which we love. Let us be glad that we are Poles.

– In our country, as in a family – each of us is different – but under the white and red flag we can be one. And when I look especially at children singing the national anthem and waving flags, I know that we have made a success in Poland. Even if it has disadvantages, it is the greatest value, worth living for and worth working for, said the Prime Minister.

The head of government emphasizes that it is precisely on the Independence Day that we should cherish the memory, but also show joy. Let us hang the white and red flag, spend the day with our loved ones and let us not be ashamed to say what we love our homeland for.

Unsurprisingly, the Russian (Lebedev) – Saudi controlled UK “Independent” tries to defame Polish Nationalist day as “fascist”, because Russians have always wanted Poland under their boot.

Lebedev controlled/owned Independent pretends that Poland’s independence from Russia (and Germany) is “fascist”. This is clearly because Evgeny and his former KGB agent father, Alex, want Poland under Putin’s boot. Everyone now knows who was behind any violence – Russia.
