“Carter Center Extends Condolences on Passing of Member of Carter Center Team in Ethiopia June 22, 2021
ATLANTA — The Carter Center is deeply saddened to confirm that John Marsh, a contractor responsible for managing the Center’s social media monitoring project in Ethiopia, died unexpectedly Monday, June 21, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
John was a fierce advocate for human rights, justice, and democracy in East Africa and around the world. He worked with the Center on several important projects over the years.
From 2005 to 2008, John led our efforts to support elections and democratic dialogue in Ethiopia, and in 2008 and 2009, he helped manage our election observation mission in Ghana.
John’s many friends and colleagues at the Center have been touched by his passion for social justice, his professionalism, and his personal warmth. John had an infectious laugh and a real gift for connecting with people. His empathy, generosity, and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.

Especially since the Biden Administration appears to want the current government removed in Ethiopia, John Marsh could have been under such a high level of stress that it killed him. So, foul play wouldn’t have to be direct, it could be from the Biden Administration, IRI/NDI, and possibly the Carter Center itself pressuring him. We don’t know what “social media monitoring” entails, either.
John Marsh was “found dead in his bedroom at the Radisson Blu Hotel” according to local police. The hotel room clean found him “on the ground next to his bed” at approximately 7 am. According to the police there was medicine at the scene and no visible sign of injuries. It’s unclear to us why Biden-Blinken want regime change but they apparently do. IRI/NDI are supposed to be NGOs but they are a sort of parallel government, which includes current and former US government officials.
