The US Postal Service Office Bailout is unnecessarily stuck within a Massive $3.5 Trillion Bill; US Federal Yearly Revenue is approximately $3.5 Trillion https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/house-bill/6800/text.

At stake is not millions or billions but $3.5 trillion – the amount of ALL US Federal revenue for a good year (eg 2018, 2019 ). This is over 19 times Jeff Bezos’ est. worth. This is $330,189 per Covid unemployed person (10.6 people million more in July than February). Media and supposed “experts” are harping on millions and billions like they don’t understand that this “Heroes” HR 6890 act is trillions. A trillion is 1,000,000,000,000, i.e. one million million. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trillion So, this bill would make 3.5 million millionaires.

Please look through the over 1800 pages and almost $3.5 trillion of Pelosi’s HR 6800 and decide the truth for yourself, rather than listening to the media: https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/house-bill/6800/text. It even has a table of contents. See if you, personally, want to pay for these items through a substantial increase in your taxes, no matter how poor you are, and even taxes on your social security pension. Also, decide if you approve of other items stuffed into this enormous bill. If the US government is forced into bankruptcy- structural adjustment there will likely be zero social security, zero welfare benefits.

In 2018, the US Federal government receipts were $3.49 trillion. Tax receipts were $1.97 trillion, government social insurance receipts were 1.31 trillion. https://www.cbo.gov/system/files/2019-07/55466-CBO-nipa2019.pdf
In 2019, $3.5 trillion https://www.cbo.gov/system/files/2019-11/55824-CBO-MBR-FY19.pdf. State and local receipts were (page 8) $2.8 trillion or more https://apps.bea.gov/scb/2020/04-april/pdf/0420-government-receipts-expenditures.pdf

Only if Pelosi and Schumer are willing to pass a Postal bailout stand-alone bill (with the bailout and only the bailout), can anyone believe that they are acting in good faith. Recall that they refused an interim unemployment compromise bill, and then complained that Trump took money for the unemployed from FEMA. https://miningawareness.wordpress.com/2020/08/02/u-s-senators-mcsally-collins-romney-tried-to-get-a-few-months-or-even-a-week-mcsally-extension-of-the-supplemental-unemployment-insurance-but-pelosi-schumer-refused/

Within the bill are apportionment topics, which is a blatant attempt by Pelosi and Schumer to protect their literal seats of power, such as counting foreign students, because California and New York are the two states getting the most foreign students. If you read this article, it will clarify a major reason why the US has leaders, which don’t reflect the majority will: https://cis.org/Report/Impact-Legal-and-Illegal-Immigration-Apportionment-Seats-US-House-Representatives-2020 Whichever Party wins, Pelosi and Schumer should lose their leadership roles.

The CARES act was almost $2 trillion: https://www.cbo.gov/publication/56334

In comparison, the CBO projected that the 2017 tax cut would add $1.9 trillion to deficits over 10 years. https://budget.house.gov/publications/report/cbo-confirms-gop-tax-law-contributes-darkening-fiscal-future

$3.5 trillion is 3,500,000,000,000 and 10.6 million are the Covid-extra unemployed (in July compared to February.)

$3,500,000,000,000 divided by 10,600,000 is $330,189 per Covid unemployed person (10.6 million). However, most is not really Covid related or not the responsibility of the Federal Government. Those who want these things can pass taxes for them on the state or local level. Those who want these things don’t want the Feds protecting the Federal Courthouses so they sure as h*ll shouldn’t ask for more Federal money.

Do you want illegals working legally until three months post pandemic, so Americans can be unemployed another 3 months? That’s in there. There are several years of WIC, as another example, which provides food and healthcare for pregnant women and children from pre-natal to 5 years, if people have children they can’t afford. This is a standard program and should be budgeted elsewhere, as long as it exists. It is unclear why this is in the bill. Ditto for cannabis banking.

Remember that Pelosi and Schumer refused to pass unemployment insurance as a separate item, preferring to attempt to ram through this $3.5 trillion debacle. https://miningawareness.wordpress.com/2020/08/02/u-s-senators-mcsally-collins-romney-tried-to-get-a-few-months-or-even-a-week-mcsally-extension-of-the-supplemental-unemployment-insurance-but-pelosi-schumer-refused/

Trump on voting by mail: “Again, absentee good, universal mail-in very bad.” (August 13, 2020)

Trump is telling the truth that a large part of the dispute is an over $1 trillion bailout of already indebted state and local governments stuffed into the $3.5 trillion. In 2019, Federal receipts were $3.5 trillion https://www.cbo.gov/system/files/2019-11/55824-CBO-MBR-FY19.pdf. State and local revenues were (page 8) $2.8 trillion or more https://apps.bea.gov/scb/2020/04-april/pdf/0420-government-receipts-expenditures.pdf

PRESIDENT TRUMP:
Not at all…I want the Post Office to run properly but, which makes sense, they would need a lot more money if they are going to be taking in tens of millions of ballots… and so they need additional financial help. It’s a part of the bill [deal] that the Democrats don’t want to make because they want a trillion -much bigger part of the bill- they want a trillion dollars to go to states that are run by governors, who happen to be “Democrats” who have not done a good job for many, many years and those are states that owe a lot of money and need a lot of money and they’re talking about $1 trillion, so the Post Office and the $3 1/2 billion for the votes themselves, which sounds like a lot of money that they are looking for…

Again, absentee good, universal mail-in very bad.

Question: Given that the negotiations are still ongoing… [she says something like why not put more resources and money yourself …]

THE PRESIDENT: They can do it very easily. All that they have to do is make a deal. If they make a deal the postal service is taken care of, mail in ballots would be taken care of, if we agree to it… but all they have to do is make a deal. But again, more important to them is not that, that’s a lot of money but it’s small time compared to the other.. What they want to do, and very strongly what they want to do is to bail out cities that are run by Democrats and have been for many years and these cities and states have done very badly and they desperately need money for that and we’re open to something but we’re not open to the kind of money they need.”

There are huge subsidies to private colleges in HR 6800 (also in the $1 trillion Republican bills, Republicans proposed much more to schools and much more to public schools). Do you want to pay for that? Look at this bill and see if you want to pay for these things through a massive hike in your taxes. And, for instance, it allows legal hiring of illegal workers, including work for “90 days after the date on which such public health emergency terminates. “ See SEC. 191203. TEMPORARY PROTECTIONS FOR ESSENTIAL CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE WORKERS. “ HR 6800 https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/house-bill/6800/text

US Senator Portman:
a $3.5 trillion price tag for legislation which would make it by far the most expensive bill ever passed by either House of Congress. But also at a time when we had $1.1 trillion left over from the CARES package and states have only allocated an average of about 25 percent of their CARES Act funding, it seemed like pushing taxpayers to foot the bill for the costliest legislation in history maybe wasn’t the right way to go.

Voting by Mail Types and Issues
There are two kinds of mail balloting systems. Some states have what are called universal “vote by mail” in which states mail ballots to all voters. In most states, however, vote by mail is through absentee balloting in which the voter must request an absentee ballot… In states that allow absentee mail balloting, the voter writes, calls, or goes online to request an absentee ballot from their local election authority. In some places, voters need an excuse for the absentee ballot such as being sick or out of the state on Election Day. In other places, voters do not need to have a specific reason for the absentee ballot…https://www.brookings.edu/policy2020/votervital/how-does-vote-by-mail-work-and-does-it-increase-election-fraud/

The biggest health danger is the need for witnesses and/or a notary. The notary involves a fee, which may be steep. Republicans should benefit from no witness absentee because of older voters, who would be at risk with witnesses or walk in voting.

Rhode Island “dropped a rule that required a voter to have two witnesses or a notary affirm an absentee ballot. A federal court allowed this change, but the national Republican Party would like the Supreme Court to intervene and stop it…” Rhode Island secretary of state Nellie Gorbea says “the witness requirement is unnecessary because the real security of the mail ballot is the signature itself and the verification process of the signature on that application process. So when you apply for a mail ballot in Rhode Island, your signature on that application is verified at the local level… So that is the real security of the mail ballot system. It is not who the witnesses are, who we don’t actually know who they are, or even the notary public.” https://www.npr.org/2020/08/12/901592077/republicans-ask-supreme-court-to-intervene-in-mail-in-ballot-dispute

House Passes HEROES Act Amnesty
By Preston Huennekens | FAIR Take | May 2020
The battle for the Phase IV coronavirus bill is officially on, as House Democrats laid out their demands by passing H.R. 6800 – the HEROES Act by a vote of 208-199. This FAIR-opposed bill would grant a de facto amnesty to illegal aliens working in “essential” industries, give them stimulus checks, release nearly everyone detained by ICE, and expand some forms of legal immigration.

This follows a pattern established during the Phase III coronavirus stimulus debate which eventually produced the $2 trillion bipartisan CARES Act. The final version of the CARES Act was devoid of any troubling immigration provisions, which infuriated some progressive House Democrats. Soon after passing the CARES Act, scores of House Democrats demanded that the next round of funding (Phase IV) include illegal aliens…

During CARES Act negotiations, the Senate’s GOP leadership stripped the House’s immigration demands out of the final product. The question becomes this: how hard will Speaker Pelosi fight for the HEROES Act’s immigration provisions in the final Phase IV stimulus bill? Alternatively, how hard will Leader McConnell fight to keep these sections out?…” Read the entire article here: https://www.fairus.org/legislation/federal-legislation/house-passes-heroes-act-amnesty

Federal Minimum workers wage $7.25 x 40 = $ 290 per week so unemployed earn almost 3 times the amount of those working, ie almost 300% more, according to Figure 3.

Beginning Walmart $workers wage $12.00 x 40 = $480 per week. They would make almost twice as much by staying home, according to Figure 3
