NAWCWD Teammates,
NAWS China Lake will remain closed to NAWCWD personnel on Monday July 8 and Tuesday July 9 in order to continue assessment and evaluation of our facilities.

Unless you have been contacted directly by your supervisory chain of command to report Monday as a member of the facility assessment team, do no report to work at the China Lake site.

Our Level 1-2 supervisors are currently identifying a small number of personnel to report to work Monday to assess workspace conditions, and perform initial clean-up.

Stand by for updates as they become available. This continues to be a difficult and dynamic situation for all; your patience is appreciated as decisions are being made with your safety being the highest priority.

DO NOT REPORT TO WORK AT CHINA LAKE ON MONDAY JULY 8 AND TUESDAY JULY 9 UNLESS YOU HAVE BEEN TASKED AS A MEMBER OF THE FACILITY ASSESSMENT TEAM.

A message from RDML Dillon to all NAWCWD employees:
During this time of uncertainty due to the earthquakes in the Indian Wells Valley, the safety of our workforce and their families is our highest priority at NAWCWD.
We are working closely with NAWS China Lake officials as well as other entities to make sure our buildings and facilities are safe before allowing anyone back to work.
The NAWCWD leadership team has been in constant communication, with initial emphasis on the personal safety and well-being of our personnel, and increasing current focus on dissemination of mission related updates as the situation becomes more clear.
I send my deepest thanks and appreciation to all of the first-responders, the city of Ridgecrest, and county, state, and federal support for our community. We will get through this and we will be back to mission-capable as soon as safe and practical.
I expect to get more information tomorrow and will update you as quickly as I can. Thank you for your patience as this situation unfolds…
