Apparently Scott Pruitt wasn’t bad enough. Andrew Wheeler, who will be acting EPA head, was a lobbyist for Energy Fuels Uranium Mining-Mill company. They own the White Mesa mill, which operates as a de facto radioactive waste dump through its alternate feed process, near Bears Ears. This alarming change is in time for the public hearing-comment deadline. Andrew Wheeler will be the acting EPA head for the public hearing-comment period. What a scam: https://miningawareness.wordpress.com/2018/05/25/trump-pruitts-epa-announces-extended-comment-period-and-public-hearing-on-so-called-transparency-rule/
They also have uranium mining interests in the area of the Grand Canyon.

Andrew Wheeler also acted as a lobbyist for the “Coalition for Domestic Medical Isotope Supply”. Contrary to popular belief, medical isotopes are both dangerous and unnecessary. Both patients and the industry discharge radioactive materials into the environment, which makes more victims. Any benefits to one particular patient cannot justify exposing other people and the environment. https://miningawareness.wordpress.com/2016/12/30/important-to-oppose-production-of-technetium-99m-precursor-mo-99-even-late-technetium-99-stays-radioactive-for-millions-of-years/
