The now infamous Alex Nix is not only CEO of Cambridge Analytica, but is also CEO of Emerdata with Robert Mercer’s daughters serving on the Emerdata Board. So, they may have put him on leave from Cambridge Analytica, but left him as CEO of Emerdata. This was probably the plan, anyway, when Emerdata was created.
