Last night Iran launched an attack against Israel and launched more than 300 threats of various kinds.

The Iranian threat met the aerial and technological superiority of the IDF, combined with a strong fighting coalition – which together intercepted the vast majority of threats. We intercepted 99% of the threats launched into the territory of the State of Israel. This is a very significant strategic achievement.

Of the approximately 170 unmanned aerial vehicles that Iran launched – zero penetrated the territory of the State of Israel. Dozens of them were intercepted by fighter jets of the Air Force, our air defense system and the defense systems of our partners. Of the more than 30 cruise missiles that Iran launched – zero penetrated the territory of the State of Israel. 25 of them were intercepted by Air Force fighter jets, outside the country’s borders.

Out of more than 120 ballistic missiles, a number of individual missiles penetrated the territory of the State of Israel and the rest were intercepted. They fell at the air force base in Nevatim, causing only minor damage to the infrastructure. As you can see now, the base is functioning and continues to perform its tasks. Iran thought it would be able to paralyze the base and thus damage our air capabilities, but it failed. The Air Force planes continue to take off and land from the base area, and leave it for offensive and defensive missions, including the Hadir planes that are now returning from a defense mission on the base and you will soon see them landing.

In addition to the launches from Iran, several launches were carried out from the territory of Iraq and Yemen. None of them penetrated the territory of Israel.

In the last few hours, dozens of rockets were fired from Lebanese territory towards the north. There are no casualties. The warplanes attacked Hezbollah targets throughout Lebanon, including Radwan targets. All this while many more planes continue the defense mission.

For the past six months, we have been working in close coordination with our partners, led by the Central Command of the United States Army, Great Britain, France and other countries that acted tonight. This partnership has always been close, but tonight it manifested itself in an extraordinary way. Tonight we conducted a complex air defense battle, at an excellent level of performance by the Air Force and the Intelligence Division, under the command of Chief of Staff Mehbor in the Air Force.

Unfortunately, a ten-year-old girl was seriously injured by shrapnel. We wish her a speedy recovery. Apart from her, as far as we know there are no casualties. However, it is important to say – the event is not over. We are still prepared and ready for further developments and threats.

The directives of the Home Front Command remain in place, and the restrictions are still imposed, according to which no educational activity can be held, including overnight stays in parking lots and excursions. If there are changes in the guidelines, we will inform you immediately, transparently and responsibly. The masterful behavior in the rear throughout the night is worthy of appreciation and now it is necessary to continue to act responsibly, calmly and without panic. We will do everything we can so that the public receives the information at the fastest and most relevant time.

Throughout the night we held a situation assessment in the IDF according to the developments, the Chief of Staff approved plans for the continuation and they were presented to the political level.

Iran did a very serious act tonight, when it pushes the Middle East to escalation. We do and will do everything necessary to protect the citizens of the State of Israel.

Alongside tonight’s development, we do not forget for a moment the 133 abductees, the abductees held in Gaza. We will continue to do everything to bring them home as quickly as possible.
