“Chaos caucus” leader Matt Gaetz and a handful of “chaos caucus” members voted to remove Kevin McCarthy as US House speaker: Biggs (Arizona), Buck (Colorado), Burchett (Tennessee), Crane (Arizona), Gaetz (Florida), Good (Virginia), Mace (South Carolina), Rosendale (Montana).

They were supported by the Dems who presented a Marxist-Leninist style united front with not one member voting to retain the speaker, despite the wasted time and chaos which will ensue. A handful of Dems didn’t vote, which should have helped. However, several in McCarthy’s Republican party didn’t vote at all, either. Carter (TX), Gooden (TX), Luna (FL) did not vote, which is the same as voting for removal. So, that’s 11 ostensibly Republican 11 chaos enablers: https://clerk.house.gov/Votes/2023519

The slim Republican majority in the House meant that Gaetz needed only a handful of Republicans to vote along with Democrats to oust McCarthy. Grant Us Wisdom – Rep. McClintock Speaks Against Motion to Vacate the Chair
October 3, 2023 Speeches Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tom McClintock (CA-05) delivered remarks on the House floor in opposition of a motion to vacate the chair.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7B_tQtcXI30 If there was ever a time for sobriety, wisdom and caution in this House, it is right now. If this motion carries, the House will be paralyzed.  We can expect week after week of fruitless ballots while no other business can be conducted.  The Democrats will revel in Republican dysfunction and the public will rightly be repulsed.  It will end when the Democrats are able to enlist a rump caucus of Republicans to join a coalition to end the impasse.  This House will shift dramatically to the left and will effectively end the Republican House majority that the voters elected in 2022. This, in turn, will neutralize the only counterweight in our elected government to the woke left’s control of the Senate and the White House at a time when their policies are destroying our economy and have opened our borders to invasion. There are turning points in history whose significance is only realized by the events that they unleash.  This is one of those times.  We are at the precipice.  There are only minutes left to come to our senses and realize the grave danger our country is in at this moment.  Dear God grant us the wisdom to see it and to save our country from it

There is a temporary speaker, but the extent of his ability to push through legislation is unclear.

Cole Supports McCarthy October 3, 2023 Press Release
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04) released the following statement.
“Speaker McCarthy can not only be credited for delivering this Republican majority but has also delivered on his commitments to the American people,” said Cole. “He has been an instrumental leader to our conference, and because of him, House Republicans have advanced policies that would secure the border, restore American energy dominance and rebuild the economy. He had my full support in January, and he has my full support now

Matt Gaetz appears to be engulfing the US Congress into “Kali Yuga” accelerationist chaos, under the guidance of Steve Bannon, who has held at least one secretive meeting (2018) with sanctioned (2015) Russian ideologist Alex Dugin and may be working with him to bring down the United States and put Russia in charge of Eurasia. Gaetz may or may not understand the extent of the agenda.

According to the US Treasury sanctions (2015): “Aleksandr Dugin, Andrey Kovalenko, and Pavel Kanishchev are leaders of the Eurasian Youth Union.  This group and its leaders are being designated for being responsible for or complicit in actions or policies that threaten the peace, security, stability, or sovereignty or territorial integrity of Ukraine. The Eurasian Youth Union has actively recruited individuals with military and combat experience to fight on behalf of the self-proclaimed DPR and has stated that it has a covert presence in Ukraine.” https://home.treasury.gov/news/press-releases/jl9993 Dugin’s daughter, who died in a car-bomb, was also sanctioned: https://ofac.treasury.gov/recent-actions/20220303 https://ofac.treasury.gov/recent-actions/20150311

Bannon has been delaying his fraud trial, but is more likely going to jail than Trump. Gaetz is under investigation, as well: “Investigators from the House Ethics Committee have begun reaching out to witnesses as part of a recently revived investigation into Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida, focused on allegations that he may have engaged in sexual misconduct, illicit drug use or other misconduct….” See: “House Ethics Committee reaching out to witnesses in revived Matt Gaetz probe” By Paula Reid, Alayna Treene and Annie Grayer, CNN https://edition.cnn.com/2023/07/13/politics/matt-gaetz-house-ethics-committee-investigation/index.html Bannon may believe that shutting down the government would help him delay his trials. Here’s betting that unless he thinks he can get a pardon from a newly elected US President that Bannon sneaks out of the country, possibly defecting to Russia.

According to Teitlebaum’s 2020 book on Bannon, Bannon is an occultist who learned to hide his occult interests while serving in the US Navy and working for Goldman Sachs. The agenda is apparently to accelerate the destruction of the USA with the idea of bringing in a so-called “Golden Age” of neo-fascism/Hindu Brahmin-like caste hierarchy. If you think this is a joke, read some of the notes, further below. Visit Steve Bannon’s Pandemic War Room site-read all (or part) of Teitlebaum’s book, if you still aren’t convinced. While some claim that Kali Yuga has nothing to do with the Hindu goddess Kali, this is clearly untrue, at least from an etymological perspective. Kali is the Hindu goddess of death and destruction and Yuga is the age or yoga (yoke) of Kali. According to Hinduism, Kali Yuga won’t end for hundreds of thousands of year. So, some Hindu-occult accelerationists are apparently trying to speed things up. Dugin is called “Putin’s Rasputin” or “Putin’s brain”. And, what is Putin doing in Ukraine? Killing and destroying as much as possible like Kali the goddess of death and destruction.

Gaetz seems to be working with Bannon, rather than Trump

Trump questions GOP infighting ahead of vote to oust McCarthy
By Brett Samuels – 10/03/23 2:11 PM ET
Quote: “Former President Trump expressed frustration Tuesday over infighting among Republicans just minutes before lawmakers in the House were set to vote on a motion from Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) to advance an effort to oust Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.).
“Why is it that Republicans are always fighting among themselves, why aren’t they fighting the Radical Left Democrats who are destroying our Country?” Trump wrote on Truth Social

While most people believe that Gaetz is taking orders from Trump, it appears that he’s taking orders from Steve Bannon, instead. At the very least, Gaetz is under Bannon’s influence. It was on Bannon’s show, for instance, that the idea of making Trump speaker of the US House was floated and Gaetz eventually made that proposal. Then they would impeach Biden, impeach Kamala Harris, and put Trump back into the Presidency, since the US House Speaker is third in line. Trump didn’t like the idea of being US House Speaker. It seems that one doesn’t have to be in the US Congress to be elected. One must simply be elected by the US House.

Gaetz has not only appeared on Bannon’s show, he’s hosted it. Most other members of the chaos caucus in the US House have been guests on Bannon’s show.

In November 2018, Bannon met up in Rome with Dugin, whose 1997 book has been used as a textbook for the Russian military: “Bannon says. “Can you imagine what Washington would think?” Good question. Dugin was banned from traveling to the United States and Canada in 2015 after allegedly calling for a genocide in Ukraine. His international reputation, justified or not, as the mad mastermind of Vladimir Putin’s geopolitical agenda makes him particularly poisonous for someone like Bannon… Now he is standing face-to-face with Russia’s most notorious ideologue, an inspiration not only to Putin’s geopolitics but to the Russian leader’s radicalism as well. They are in one of the hotel’s private rooms and will remain there all day…” (Excerpt from “War for Eternity: Inside Bannon’s Far-Right Circle of Global Power Brokers” by Benjamin Teitelbaum (2020), Prologue. )

The Foundations of Geopolitics: The Geopolitical Future of Russia is a geopolitical book by Aleksandr Dugin. Its publication in 1997 was well received in Russia; it has had significant influence within the Russian military, police, and foreign policy elites,[1][2] and has been used as a textbook in the Academy of the General Staff of the Russian military.[1][3] Powerful Russian political figures subsequently took an interest in Dugin,[4] a Russian political analyst who espouses an ultranationalist and neo-fascist ideology based on his idea of neo-Eurasianism,[5] who has developed a close relationship with Russia’s Academy of the General Staff.[6]https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foundations_of_Geopolitics

Not only has Matt Gaetz appeared on Bannon’s show, War-room Pandemic, he has actually guest hosted it, while Bannon went to court over an indictment for fraud. Alex Jones of Infowars has been connected to Russia (RT and Dugin) since at least 2008. Bannon visited with Dugin in 2018. Dugin first met Putin ca 2000. https://21stcenturymindwars.substack.com/p/graphics-twitter-chart-repository

US House Removes McCarthy as Speaker of House
October 03, 2023 5:00 PM By Katherine Gypson
WASHINGTON —
For the first time in U.S. history, U.S. lawmakers voted Tuesday to remove the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives from power.

Republican Kevin McCarthy was removed from his position as speaker in a 216-210 vote triggered by a rare challenge from his own party.

Republican Representative Matt Gaetz filed a motion late Monday to force a vote on removing McCarthy, expressing frustration in McCarthy’s leadership after McCarthy failed to pass a government funding bill last week with conservative spending priorities.

The slim Republican majority in the House meant that Gaetz needed only a handful of Republicans to vote along with Democrats to oust McCarthy. The majority of Republicans voted to keep McCarthy in leadership.

“Think long and hard before you plunge us into chaos because that’s where we’re headed if we vacate the speakership,” Representative Tom Cole warned fellow Republicans on the House floor Tuesday.

Gaetz responded during debate on the House floor, saying, “I don’t think voting against Kevin McCarthy is chaos. I think $33 trillion in debt is chaos. I think that facing a $2.2 trillion-dollar annual deficit is chaos. I think that not passing single-subject spending bills is chaos.”

Some Republicans have also expressed frustration over a deal McCarthy made with President Joe Biden earlier this year to cap spending levels in return for raising the debt ceiling.

“Many of us had begged the speaker, pleaded with the speaker repeatedly to utilize the debt ceiling to leverage spending cuts and reforms. Instead, he negotiated an unlimited increase to the debt ceiling,” Republican Representative Bob Good said on the House floor Tuesday, urging members to remove McCarthy.

Before Tuesday, no speaker of the House had ever been removed from the post.
“If I counted how many times someone wanted to knock me out, I would have been gone a long time ago,” McCarthy told reporters earlier Tuesday morning.

As in the recent negotiations on averting a federal government shutdown, the slim Republican majority in the House meant that Democrats had the numbers to influence the vote on McCarthy.

In a Dear Colleague letter to Democrats Tuesday morning, Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries urged his caucus to vote to remove McCarthy from the speakership.

“House Democrats remain willing to find common ground on an enlightened path forward. Unfortunately, our extreme Republican colleagues have shown no willingness to do the same. It is now the responsibility of the GOP members to end the House Republican Civil War,” Jeffries said in the letter.

A vote to remove McCarthy required a simple majority in the 435-member House of Representatives. Republicans control the chamber with a 221-212 majority over opposition Democrats.

McCarthy spoke with Jeffries Monday night. McCarthy said he told Jeffries, “You guys do whatever you need to do. I get politics. I understand where people are. I truly believe, though, in the institution of the House at the end of the day — if you throw a speaker out that has 99% of their conference, that kept government open and paid the troops, I think we’re in a really bad place for how we’re going to run Congress.”

The challenge from Gaetz came days after McCarthy relied on votes from a Democratic bloc to pass a short-term funding measure and avoid a shutdown.

McCarthy became House speaker in January after repeated rounds of voting that saw Gaetz and other Republicans oppose his candidacy. One concession that led to McCarthy’s ultimate election was agreeing to allow any single member to call for a vote to oust the speaker”. https://www.voanews.com/a/us-house-removes-mccarthy-as-speaker-of-house-/7295434.html

This Fateful Moment – Rep. McClintock Speaks on Motion to Vacate the Chair October 2, 2023 Speeches
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tom McClintock (CA-05) delivered remarks on the House floor in opposition of a motion to vacate the chair.
Congressman Tom McClintock

Mr. Speaker:

Benjamin Franklin described the limitations of any deliberative body in his closing speech to the Constitutional Convention.  He said, “when you assemble a number of men to have the advantage of their joint wisdom, you inevitably assemble with those men all their prejudices, their passions, their errors of opinion, their local interests, and their selfish views. From such an assembly can a perfect production be expected?”

We have certainly approached these limits in our deliberations in recent days and I want to pause for a moment and assess where we are and where we are going.

The Roman Empire fell for many reasons, but the two most prominent were that it destroyed its economy by overspending and it failed to secure its borders.  Clearly, these two self-inflicted calamities are converging right now upon our country and we are fast running out of time to avert them.

For this reason, House Republicans have sought, with the most slender of majorities, to reverse these policies – albeit imperfectly.  A few weeks ago, we passed HR 2, the strongest border security bill in a century.  Over the past months, our majority on the appropriations committee has drafted the 12 appropriations bills which bend discretionary spending down and enact important reforms.

Now, I admit that we are inexcusably late in that process.  The approach of the fiscal year, though, provided us impetus to complete this work.  Last week, we began taking up and adopting appropriations bills that now comprise 70 percent of federal discretionary spending, on the eve of an impending shutdown.

We have learned from experience that a government shutdown can be administered in a manner that does enormous damage to the economy and to the lives of millions of Americans.  The President, if he wishes, can destroy every small business on federal land and those adjacent to federal land.  Obama went so far as to barricade every monument and memorial, chain the gates of every acre of federal land and even barricade the turn-outs overlooking Yosemite Valley so people couldn’t even pull over to catch a glimpse of it.  Mr. Biden had made it very clear he intended to follow that strategy — specifically designed to create a panic and to force an immediate resolution in favor of the status quo.

Accordingly, our Conference put forward a 30-day continuing resolution to avert a shutdown while reducing non-defense discretionary spending by eight percent and enacting the border security bill we had previously passed.

Unfortunately, 21 Republicans joined House Democrats to defeat this resolution.  Now out of time and faced with an imminent shutdown, our conference directed the Speaker to put a 45-day continuing resolution on the floor without the previous reforms, as the only way to avert a shutdown and continue our work to complete the appropriations process.  We cancelled the October recess to complete this work.

Yet now, we are faced with the threat that a Republican will move to vacate the Republican Speaker of the House.  It will only require four other Republican members to join the Democrats to achieve this result.  The immediate effect will be to paralyze the house indefinitely, because no other business can be taken up until a replacement is elected – just when we are on the verge of completing the appropriations process that in turn will finally initiate discussions with the Senate that are vital to change the dangerous path our country is on.

I cannot conceive of a more counterproductive and self-destructive course than that.

The supreme irony is that this is being initiated by self-described conservatives.  Do they honestly believe that when the Democrats side with them to remove a Republican speaker that they will then side with them to name a more conservative replacement?  Of course not.  The Democrats will certainly recruit the most liberal Republicans to establish a left-of-center coalition to run the House.  This is exactly what happened in California in 1994.  A coalition speaker will move the administration of the House sharply to the left and effectively end the Republican house majority that the people elected in 2022.

I implore my Republican colleagues to look past “their Prejudices, their Passions, their Errors of Opinion, their local Interests, and their selfish Views” and to make a wise decision when it is needed most — at this critical moment in the life of our country. https://mcclintock.house.gov/newsroom/speeches/fateful-moment-rep-mcclintock-speaks-motion-vacate-chair
