Königsberg (East) Prussia Sambia Peninsula before theft by USSR-Russia

Kaliningrad is historic Königsberg-East Prussia. It is far from the Russian mainland, but the USSR (Russia) was allowed to take it 1946 and keep it. Russia removed the people and the culture from this historically Celtic-Germanic region, and imported Russian replacements. The Soviet Union-Russia have used it as a military based to threaten Europe, as well as make false claims about Europe encircling them. The truth is Russia-USSR stole a chunk of Europe and implemented ethnic and cultural genocide against the people. Still there are some people who wish to remember the history and culture of the region, and they have become political prisoners.

Kaliningrad is on the Sambia Peninsula, which was historically Old Prussian-Teutonic. The Teutons were Celts or Germanic. It was never ever Russian until the people were killed or deported and replaced, almost over night, by Russians, so that Russia could use it as a military base to terrorize Europe.

The Soviet Union (Russia) made a pact with Germany to split Poland, as well as some other parts of Eastern Europe. This dual land grab of Poland in 1939 started World War II.

After World War II, the Soviet Union (Russia) was allowed to keep the half of Poland it had stolen and that was added onto what is now Belarus. Historic German lands were then stolen and added to Poland. East Prussia was split between replacement land for new Poland, to the south, and what became the Kaliningrad Oblast of Russia to the north.

Each contested plot of land/region must be examined as an individual case. Unlike another certain country, land wasn’t bought from absentee landlords. It was simply stolen. Nor were there ancient historic ties. It’s not even close to Russia geographically.

The theft of Kaliningrad was simply so that the Soviet Union-Russia could have another port to terrorize Europe with. And, it is based on Russia’s control of Kaliningrad that Russia whines and complain that they are menaced by NATO and Europe, when, in fact, they stole it from Kaliningrad from Europe.

The capital of Kaliningrad Oblast is the City of Koenigsberg, which existed as a German City for 700 years. Russia renamed it Kaliningrad and destroyed the old castle, as part of its cultural and ethnic genocide.
