Update notes: When we posted the Reuters Livecam, below, on Friday morning Kyiv time, everything appeared normal in the area of the Maidan-Independence Monument-square. The cam was facing the back of the statue. It was probably in Hotel Ukraine. Although the attacks reportedly started much earlier, at 8.10 am there were cars and pedestrians and a transit bus on the streets in the area. Around 8.17 am a boom was heard in the distance…
