Between 2009-2019, USAID “PREDICT”, headed by JK Mazet at UC-Davis, gave $1.1 million to Wuhan Institute of Virology via Daszak’s EcoHealth Alliance. NIAID funding to Wuhan Institute of Virology from FY 2014-2019 was $826,277. This, alone, totals $1,926,277.

Why is no one calling out Mazet-UC Davis? Instead of being held accountable, she is getting promoted to a position where likely she will be able to wreak more havoc, if not held accountable!

As seen in the 2013 article, “Isolation and characterization of a bat SARS-like coronavirus that uses the ACE2 receptor” (see below) her connections to The Wuhan Institute of Virology were more direct than we initially thought.

Joseph Leiter Memorial Lecture
“Emerging Infectious Diseases in the 21st Century: A Prevention paradigm for surveillance, information sharing, & health diplomacy,” by Jonna Mazet, DVM, PhD, is Principal Investigator for “PREDICT – Wildlife SMART Surveillance for Zoonotic Diseases of Pandemic Potential,” a part of US Agency for International Development. Her specialty is studying diseases that could jump from an animal host population to a human population, such as SARS and Ebola. She will talk about the project and how to disseminate information to relevant agencies and groups to help prevent a pandemic or at least keep it smaller. This event is jointly sponsored by the National Library of Medicine and the Medical Library Association” Mazet

But it would be unwise to limit support for global virus research, said Jonna Mazet, a University of California-Davis professor who led a USAID-funded program that trained scientists around the world to collect and research animal viruses. For her pains, she has received death threats and hacking attacks on her computers and home alarm system.” https://noqreport.com/2021/05/21/to-the-bat-cave-scientists-reignite-polarizing-debate-on-covid-origin/

As the founder and former director of the UC Davis One Health Institute, and a leading researcher on pandemics and other global health threats, Mazet has extensive experience in developing innovative and collaborative approaches to what she calls the world’s “large-scale wicked problems.”…. She is the immediate past founding director of the UC Davis One Health Institute… Her recent high-level extramural positions include: co-director of the US Agency for International Development’s (USAID) One Health Workforce–Next Generation, an $85 million educational strengthening project to empower professionals in Africa and Southeast Asia to address complex and emerging health threats; and principal investigator and global director of PREDICT, a $200 million-plus viral emergence early warning project under USAID’s Emerging Pandemic Threats Division…“. According to the UC Davis News Release Mazet “will provide dedicated leadership and new momentum for current and future research, education, and public service activities related to critical challenges in such areas as health and disease, climate change, environmental degradation, drought, wildfires, and food systems, among others. One of Mazet’s primary efforts for the foreseeable future is leading the planning, begun in 2019, of a new Multidisciplinary Grand Challenges Building…”. See New Release: “Dr. Jonna Mazet Named Vice Provost for Grand Challenges” by Craig Buckwald August 19, 2021 https://archive.is/1PAoX In the image at the link, she is smirking. Is that because she’s gotten by with all of this and no one has called her out? Instead, she’s been promoted? Perhaps because we know what she’s been up to and getting by with, the angle of the photo on the red-orange background looks kind of diabolical. She looked more normal in 2016.

Excerpt from Abstract:
Most importantly, we report the first recorded isolation of a live SL-CoV (bat SL-CoV-WIV1) from bat faecal samples in Vero E6 cells, which has typical coronavirus morphology, 99.9% sequence identity to Rs3367 and uses ACE2 from humans, civets and Chinese horseshoe bats for cell entry. Preliminary in vitro testing indicates that WIV1 also has a broad species tropismhttps://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5389864/

According to federal government data, EcoHealth received tens of millions in federal research dollars. EcoHealth has partnered with the WIV since 2004.”https://reschenthaler.house.gov/media/press-releases/reschenthaler-uncovers-11-million-taxpayer-funding-sent-wuhan-institute
So, EcoHealth has probably given WIV more than the $1.9 million of US Federal funding (aka taxes and debt).

So, then, what did they do with the money? EcoHealth Alliance head, British-Ukrainian Peter Daszak explains (2016): “Then, when you get a sequence of a virus, and it looks like a relative of a known nasty pathogen… So, we sequenced the spike protein, the protein that attaches to the cells – then we – Well I didn’t do this work, but my colleagues in China did the work – you create pseudo-particles, you insert the spike proteins from those viruses to see if it bind to human cells. And, each step of this, you move closer and closer to this virus could really become pathogenic in people… and you end up with a small number of viruses that really do look like killers.” Video Link: https://rumble.com/vi94ht-explosive-video-shows-peter-daszak-bragging-about-creating-killer-viruses-w.html (He says bind instead of binds. In addition to Baric’s apparent gain of function research in 2015, NIH and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) also reportedly funded similar coronavirus research conducted by EcoHealth Alliance, which subcontracted with Shi.[10]  Because of Shi’s research and her connection to the Wuhan lab, Dr. Richard Ebright, a molecular biologist and infectious disease expert, stated, “[i]t is clear that the Wuhan Institute of Virology was systematically constructing novel chimeric coronaviruses and was assessing their ability to infect human cells and human-ACE2-expressing mice.”[11]  In fact, Dr. Peter Dasazk, the president of EcoHealth Alliance, spoke about changing coronaviruses in a lab.  In an interview Dasazk stated, “Well I think . . . coronaviruses — you can manipulate them in the lab pretty easily.”[12]

The PREDICT program is based out of UC Davis and partnered with EcoHealth Alliance. The Principal Investigator Is Jonna K Mazet. When will she be called out as responsible for sending money to Wuhan via EcoHealth Alliance?

In addition to UC Davis School of Veterinarian Medicine, “the core partners are USAID, EcoHealth Alliance, Metabiota, Wildlife Conservation Society, and Smithsonian Institution”. The Smithsonian makes for a connection to Chief Justice Roberts of the US Supreme Court, several members of the US Congress, as well as to the Gates Foundation.

According to a May 2021 letter from USAID to some US House members: “Between October 2009 and May 2019, PREDICT provided a total of $1.1 million to the EcoHealth Alliance for a sub-agreement with the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) for the purpose of advancing research on critical viruses that could pose harm to human and animal health”. https://reschenthaler.house.gov/sites/reschenthaler.house.gov/files/Rep.%20Reschenthaler%20EcoHealth%20RESPONSE.pdf

The USAID Predict program U.C. Davis 5 year funding page was updated in September 2019. Therefore it appears to be from 2014-2019. “New Award this quarter – $11,600,000. The overall 5-year award is $138.4M“. They were given at least $200 million over the course of 10 years. Trump stopped their funding in September of 2019. The pandemic provided an excuse for their funding to be extended by a bureaucrat:

Background on EcoHealth Alliance:
* According to federal government data, EcoHealth received tens of millions in federal research dollars.
* EcoHealth has partnered with the WIV since 2004.
* In February 2020, EcoHealth President Peter Daszak led an unsubstantiated letter denying the possibility of COVID-19 originating in a lab.
* Daszak went so far as to condemn any alternative explanation to his natural origins narrative, such as a lab accident at nearby WIV, as “conspiracy theory.”

Background on WIV:
* The Chinese Communist Party directly runs the WIV and manages the Biosafety Level IV (BSL-4) laboratory.
* After the outbreak of COVID-19, the CCP replaced the party official in charge of the WIV with a top biowarfare expert, Major General Chen Wei.
* In 2018, two State Department cables raised concerns regarding safety and management weaknesses at the WIV.
* Scientists at the WIV noted “a serious shortage of appropriately trained technicians and investigators needed to safely operate this high-containment laboratory.”
* According to a January 15, 2021 State Department press release, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced several researchers inside the WIV became sick with COVID-19 like symptoms in the fall of 2019.
* Since at least 2017, the WIV engaged in classified research, including laboratory animal experiments with the Chinese military.
