Surprisingly, there are only fifteen countries which fully recognize Taiwan (Republic of China), i.e. “Diplomatic Friends”. They are all very tiny countries, like Haiti. As of late September 2019, only 15 tiny countries have full diplomatic relations with Taiwan. In 2018, the Dominican Republic, which shares the island with Haiti, abandoned Taiwan in favor of communist China, as did El Salvador. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foreign_relations_of_Taiwan

The US – apparently the Carter Admin – chose diplomatic relations with communist China over Taiwan in 1979. Subsequently, the US Congress passed the Taiwan Relations Act: “The President- having terminated governmental relations between the United States and the governing authorities on Taiwan recognized by the United States as the Republic of China prior to January 1, 1979, the Congress finds that the enactment of this Act is necessary… It is the policy of the United States “to make clear that the United States decision to establish diplomatic relations with the People’s Republic of China rests upon the expectation that the future of Taiwan will be determined by peaceful means” “TAIWAN RELATIONS ACT PUBLIC LAW 96-8 96TH CONGRESS”, January 1, 1979: https://www.ait.org.tw/our-relationship/policy-history/key-u-s-foreign-policy-documents-region/taiwan-relations-act/

As a communist Chinese official recently made clear, if Haiti wants to draw closer to communist China, they must drop their 65 year friendship and recognition of Taiwan (Republic of China) (See interview below).

Haiti and Taiwan’s faithful friendship is blocking China’s takeover of the Caribbean basin and Latin America.

Recall that Biden’s Blinken likes to make statements and do the opposite, anyway.

The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Haiti: Press Release Regarding the Arrest of Mercenaries at the Embassy (Unofficial rough translation)
Post Date: 2021-07-09
Regarding the arrest of mercenaries at the Embassy, the Embassy wishes to make known the following:

1. The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Haiti learned this Thursday, July 8, 2021, in the morning, that the Haitian police intended to enter the Embassy to pursue the suspects.

2. The cruel and barbaric assassination of His Excellency Mr. President Jovenel MOISE is a major international event and has completely shocked the whole world. Taiwan, as a responsible member of the international community, a long-time faithful friend and a credible partner of the Republic of Haiti, its Embassy allowed the Haitian police to enter and authorized them to carry out a search operation in order to achieve justice and uncover the truth of the incident as quickly as possible.

3. The police launched an operation around 4 pm and successfully arrested 11 suspects. The process went smoothly. The Haitian Police (PNH) brought them back for questioning.

The Embassy welcomes the rapid response of the Haitian authorities and continues, as always, to work alongside the Haitian people. https://archive.md/xhG7b

This year is the “65th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between Taiwan and Haiti – Agricultural Cooperation, Post Date: 2021-04-28
Being the primary bilateral cooperation from the establishment of Taiwan-Haitian relations, agricultural cooperation is understood in several areas such as production and mechanization as Taiwan transferred its technology to Haiti to satisfy Haiti’s food security”. https://archive.md/IkvWb The original Embassy web site was not working correctly so we went through the archives. There is a video in French.

Who is Reginald Boulos? He’s part of the “new mulatto” elites originally called “Syrians” but the name appears Lebanese. Syria-Lebanon is essentially the same thing, historically. The families immigrated in the late 1800s or early 1900s.

According to a source, one of the mercenaries, Solages, had worked as a security guard for Boulos:
Solages used to work as a security guard for both Reginald Boulos and Dimitri Vorbe, two of Moise’s opponents.” See: “Of two Haitian-Americans arrested in Moise killing, one was ‘very close’ to opponent, source says” BY ONZ CHÉRY JUL. 08, 2021, The Haitian Times, https://archive.md/3PGBo

Dimitri Vorbe went into exile in relation to the PetroCaribe corruption case. So, it could simply be an attempt at regime change so that he can return to Haiti: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dimitri_Vorbe

Syrian-Lebanese Haitian Reginald Boulos: Boulos sings the merits of Haiti allying with communist China. He says he can’t believe that Haiti is taking millions from Taiwan instead of billions from China. However, we suspect some other interests with China: “Réginald Boulos entre « abstention » à l’OEA et ouverture sur la Chine…”

The (former?) Mayor of Port-au-Prince, Youri Chevry, was recently extradited from the Dominican Republic. He was apparently flirting with communist China. Whether or not he actually signed agreements with them or simply signed that he had discussed infrastructure with them appears unclear. Even Moise appears to have been flirting with communist China, but could have annoyed China in the process.

In an interview (2019-09-03) with Haiti’s “Le Nouvelliste” newspaper, a representative of Communist China was asked if Haiti wanted closer diplomatic relations with communist China would it have to end its relationship with Taiwan (Republic of China)? The response by the communist official, Wang Xiangyang, was that there is only one China in the world and that Taiwan is part of Chinese territory. He considers the Government of the People’s Republic of China as the sole legal government representing all of China. Thus, the one-China principle is the prerequisite for all foreign countries to develop diplomatic relations with communist China. As of 2019, 178 countries around the world have established diplomatic relations with the People’s Republic of China. Haiti is among the 17 countries maintaining (full) diplomatic relations with Taiwan. Between June 2017 and September 2019, Panama, the Dominican Republic and El Salvador have successively established diplomatic relations with the People’s Republic of China. The communist official states that there is no doubt that China will achieve the reunification of its homeland (ie. It will take Taiwan).

Several countries in the region recently changed allegiance from Taiwan (Republic of China) to Communist China. The Dominican Republic shares the island with Haiti.

It unclear if Taiwan itself is on Taiwan’s side, since so many companies do business in mainland Communist China.

Formosa Plastics Group (FPG, Chinese: 臺塑集團; pinyin: Tái Sù Jítuán) is a titular Taiwanese conglomerate of diverse interests, including biotechnology, petrochemical processing and production of electronics components…
FPG’s overseas expansion has focused primarily on the United States and mainland China. The group has purchased or constructed many PVC factories and chemical production facilities in both countries

The very fact that Biden-Blinken have showed themselves weak and/or fanboys of China means that the Biden Admin is indirectly complicit with anything China does, whether or not they are directly complicit.
