The World Health Organization offered a test for Coronavirus early on, and the Trump Administration refused it. Thus, we are in the midst of a massive epidemiological experiment, the scope of which is unknown, as is the final outcome. Coronavirus related experimentation is not only upon non-human primates, but upon human primates, as well.

Early testing would have helped ascertain who to quarantine/how to better manage the coronavirus. Instead, the US coronavirus testing protocol, under Trump, can best be described as don’t seek so you don’t find.

This failure is almost certainly going to serve up many human primate “guinea pigs” for clinical trials. How many will depend on some combination of luck (or not); genetic resistance (or not); and American sense of personal space, which has regional and ethnic variants.

Even in the best case scenario there will be plenty of human primate “guinea pigs” with Coronavirus who will be willing to participate in clinical trials for Gilead Sciences, or anyone else. Don’t think for a second that Medicare for All, as written, offers a cure for the bloated medical pharma industrial complex. Rather, glancing through the “Medicare for All” Bills one quickly sees “The Secretary” making critically important decisions, including negotiation of drug prices. Remember how people/journalists made fun of Trump and said he confused Ebola and CoV-2 (Coronavirus)?

Coronavirus is actual SARS 2 but they don’t want to scare people so call it other things.

Criteria
Key Inclusion Criteria:
* Willing and able to provide written informed consent prior to performing study procedures
* Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (SARS-CoV)-2 infection confirmed by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test ≤ 4 days before randomization
* Currently hospitalized with fever defined as temperature ≥ 36.6 °C armpit, ≥ 37.2 °C oral, or ≥ 37.8 °C rectal
* Peripheral capillary oxygen saturation (SpO2) ≤ 94% on room air at screening
* Radiographic evidence of pulmonary infiltrates
Key Exclusion Criteria:
* Participation in any other clinical trial of an experimental treatment for COVID-19
* Concurrent treatment with other agents with actual or possible direct acting antiviral activity against SARS-CoV-2 is prohibited 5 X upper limit of normal (ULN)
* Creatinine clearance < 50 mL/min
