This is one excerpt from Bernie Sanders Campaign Co-Chair Ro Khanna’s financial disclosures showing the purchase of dirty energy and pharmaceutical stocks, while he promotes the “Green New Deal” and “Medicare for All”. Since when are Exxon and pipeline stocks green, apart from the US Dollars involved? What does Eli Lilly have to do with Medicare for All/Affordable drugs? These aren’t the only dirty energy and pharma stock purchases listed in his financial disclosures, either. Plus, there are also cigarette stocks.

Asian-Indian-American Congressman Ro Khanna is Bernie Sanders Campaign Co-Chair (not to be confused with Bernie’s Pakistani-American campaign manager). Thus, Ro Khanna could be Sanders’ Vice Presidential pick. With Sanders’ heart condition, Ro Khanna could easily become US President. For this reason, Ro Khanna’s family background and apparent hypocrisy matter, as well as because he is a US Congressman. Who is in the political campaign probably tells a lot about what an administration will look like. Ro Khanna is a member of the US House Committee on Armed Services, Subcommittee on Readiness, Subcommittee on Strategic Forces; Committee on the Budget; United States House Committee on Oversight and Reform, Subcommittee on Government Operations, Subcommittee on Economic Policy and a member of the Climate Solutions Caucus. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ro_Khanna

According to the LA Times (March 5, 2018), Congressman Ro Khanna has around $27 million in assets, which belong to his wife, Ritu Khanna. They report that around $20 million is distributed between various investments, including several trusts. https://archive.li/sY1n2

While Ro Khanna promotes the “Green New Deal” and “Medicare for All” he continues to list purchases of dirty energy companies, big pharma and, even cigarette stocks in his financial disclosure forms. These seem to be his wife’s stocks. His wife, and her family, have enough money to make significant investments in renewables, instead of waiting on government hand-outs paid for by the US taxpayer, as it looks like they may be doing. The Green New Deal needs to start with his own family.

Why doesn’t Ro Khanna tweet this to his wife and inlaws? “We need a Green New Deal which gets our economy to 100% renewable energy by 2035 if we want to stop the worst effects of climate change. This is a national security threat and it’s time to treat it like one. 3:27 PM · Oct 19, 2018https://archive.li/ixO8G. Not only do they continue to ad dirty energy stocks, but his father-in-law appears to have bailed out his old company which specializes in motor vehicle replacement parts. Watch for taxpayer funds funneled for conversion-bailouts of dirty energy related firms under any Green New Deal that involves Ro Khanna.

We predict that Ro Khanna has used, or will use, US Congressional insider information to know when to buy and sell stocks, and that his assets will reflect the green new deal and medicare for all when and only when it is in the financial interest of his wife and family. As Asian-Indian “minorities”, members of his (upper class-upper caste) family would be eligible for minority contract set asides for government contracts, intended to help level the playing field for African Americans and American Indians. Khanna even took the Congressional seat of fellow Democrat and multi-generational Japanese-American, Mike Honda, who had been sent to an internment camp as a kid, within the USA, during WWII. Mike Honda was a persecuted minority within the United States. Ro Khanna was not.

Maybe Ro Khanna’s “socialist” vision is that he will become as rich as Chinese government officials? Khanna’s grandfather was a “socialist” in India’s parliament, when India was allied with the Soviet Union: “China’s parliament has about 100 billionaires, according to data from the Hurun Report“, March 2, 2017 By Sophia Yan, CNBC https://archive.li/s557N

His maternal grandfather, Amarnath Vidyalankar, was in the Parliament of India off and on from 1952 to 1977. He was serving in the Parliament during the time that India signed a mutual military assistance pact with the USSR: “in August 1971 when Delhi signed a treaty with the Soviet Union that included mutual military assistance in case of war.” http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/4633263.stmKhanna’s maternal grandfather, Amarnath Vidyalankar, was part of India’s independence movement, working with Lala Lajpat Rai, and spent years in jail in the pursuit of human rights and freedomhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ro_Khanna He was also in parliament when India set off its first nuclear bomb in 1974: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smiling_Buddha

It’s funny that no one asks why it is that once India got its independence so many of the offspring of “freedom fighters” decided to leave the country rather than staying to build their country up. Again and again one sees in the bios of immigrants from India (and their children) about how their father or grandfather fought for the independence of India. So, why did they leave? My ancestors didn’t fight in the American Revolution against Britain and then say good luck with that project – let me go to another country “for a better life”. Nor did they abandon the country during hard times during and after the US Civil War. Of course, conditions were so dire that they probably didn’t have the means to leave, and where should they go? South America? Since most of these immigrants from India are upper caste, Brahmins or merchant castes, it seems that either they really didn’t want a democratic India (where they had to share with the Dalits-untouchable under-castes), or that they came as spies. In one of the most peculiar and criminal moves ever, the United States government decided to give minority status and minority contract set-asides, meant for descendants of America’s under-caste former slaves and victims of Jim Crow laws-segregation, to Brahmin and other upper-caste elites from India. It appears that the upper castes of India were not pleased with the affirmative action (reservation) for the under castes. Giving the upper castes from India affirmative action is similar to if the USA were to give white South African immigrants affirmative action. How is everyone so blind to this?

In 1977, he decided not to continue in the legislature and informed Indira Gandhi that he no longer wished to pursue elected office due to the death of his eldest son in a plane crash and his need to care for his family and business. Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW or RAW) – India’s version of the CIA – was formed in 1968, which was around the time that the United States decided to give affirmative action to Asian-Indian immigrants, all while letting many more immigrate from India. The “diaspora” includes Asian-Indians in the USA:
The present R&AW objectives include:
* Monitoring the political, military, economic and scientific developments in countries which have a direct bearing on India’s national security and the formulation of its foreign policy.
* Moulding international public opinion and influence foreign governments with the help of the strong and vibrant Indian diaspora.
* Covert Operations to safe guard India’s National interests.
* Anti – Terror Operations and neutralising terror elements posing a threat to India
