Reuters reported that (finally) “Trump acknowledges Russia role in U.S. election hacking: aide” Sun, 08 Jan 2017. He actually asked Russia to hack last July, or implied that they had done so (video-text further below). Had he forgotten so quickly?

The big mystery in this alleged hacking story is why does Russia need ExxonMobil’s technology so desperately that they would hack to help get Trump in, apparently so that sanctions would be dropped? Why can’t Russia figure out oil and gas technologies on their own, after all of this time? Perhaps if they would spend time on developing their own technologies in oil and gas, or preferably renewables, rather than hacking, then the technology sanctions would not matter. Or are their elites feeling the pinch of sanctions in other ways? Banking? Luxury goods? Why does Russia, which seems so reliant on the oil and gas industry, continue to depend on foreign technology? Did they really do the hack then or did they hire someone to do it for them? Why has no one wondered if anti-Hillary activist become Trump backer and Breitbart backer – Robert Mercer of Ren-Tec – did the hack?

Former Exxon CEO, now Trump Sec. of State nominee, Rex “Tillerson negotiated a breathtaking $500 billion deal with Russia’s state oil company Rosneft, run by Putin’s KGB crony Igor Sechin. The deal opened 63.7 million acres of Russian land for ExxonMobil to produce on, most of it in on the Arctic shelf, which is thought to contain 22 percent of the world’s undiscovered oil and gas reserves. ExxonMobil also gets land in Western Siberia for shale as well as a chance to explore the Black Sea. The total haul over time could be worth as much as $8.2 trillion. In exchange, Rosneft’s shaky, outdated technology would get a needed upgrade to drill, frack and produce. Sold.” (See: “Putin hacks his own election, tarring Paris Accord with ExxonMobil oil“: http://bellona.org/news/fossil-fuels/2017-01-putin-hacks-his-own-election-tarring-paris-accord-with-exxonmobil-oil. )

In the past Russia got US help from the father of the Koch bros:
Fred Koch answered the call, and signed a $5 million deal in 1929 to build 15 refineries in the Soviet Socialistic Republic,… Koch and his partner provided equipment and oversaw construction and installation, and quickly became Comrade Stalin’s number one go-to refinery contractor.” http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/02/23/948765/-Meet-the-Kochers He also built a high octane refinery for the Nazis too, prior to US entry into WWII: http://www.npr.org/2016/01/19/463565987/hidden-history-of-koch-brothers-traces-their-childhood-and-political-rise

If Trump finally “accepts the U.S. intelligence community’s conclusion that Russia engaged in cyber attacks during the U.S. presidential election and may take action in response…” (Reuters, 8 Jan. 2017). Does this mean that Trump is going to stop letting the Mercers and Breitbart’s Bannon pull his strings, if they are? Will Trump dump Tillerson who was reportedly pushed by Bannon?

“The retaliatory measures announced by the Obama Administration today are long overdue. But ultimately, they are a small price for Russia to pay for its brazen attack on American democracy. We intend to lead the effort in the new Congress to impose stronger sanctions on Russia.”

Rosneft is an integrated oil company still majority owned by the Government of Russia: “… On 30 August 2011, Rosneft announced that instead of BP the partner for EPNZ-1, EPNZ-2 and EPNZ-3 in the Kara Sea will be ExxonMobil. In exchange, subject to approval by U.S. regulators, in addition to a share in oil production in Russian fields, Rosneft was granted participation in U.S. fields in Texas and the Gulf of Mexico.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosneft

Rex Tillerson was first recommended to Trump for the Secretary of State role by Condoleezza Rice, during her meeting with Trump in late November.[49] Rice’s recommendation of Tillerson to Trump was backed up by Robert Gates, three days later.[50] Media speculation that he was being considered for the position began on December 5, 2016.[51] On December 9, transition officials reported that Tillerson was the top candidate for the position surpassing Mitt Romney and David Petraeus.[52] His nomination was reportedly being advocated by Steve Bannon and Jared Kushner.[53]
