Those who attended but refused to support the Joint Communiqué shouldn’t be in the photo, but they are. It’s easy to see the red headscarf of the Saudi Foreign Minister. Initially, Saudi said that they wouldn’t even attend. It is highly alarming that Saudi Arabia, which is trying to get the US to give it nuclear technology, refused to sign an agreement, which said that “Any threat or use of nuclear weapons in the context of the ongoing war against Ukraine is inadmissible.” https://www.pm.gc.ca/en/news/statements/2024/06/16/summit-peace-ukraine-joint-communique-peace-framework This is the same Saudi Arabia that had one of its enemies, Jamal Khashoggi, killed and cut into little pieces.

Those both attending and supporting can be seen in the above image. They are Albania, Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Benin, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cabo Verde, Canada, Chile, Comoros, Costa Rica, Côte d’Ivoire, Council of Europe, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Estonia, European Commission, European Council, European Parliament, Fiji, Finland, France, Gambia, Georgia, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Guatemala, Hungary, Iceland, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Kosovo, Latvia, Liberia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, New Zealand, North Macedonia, Norway, Palau, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Republic of South Korea, Romania, Rwanda, San Marino, São Tomé and Principe, Serbia, Singapore, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Somalia, Spain, Suriname, Sweden, Switzerland, Timor Leste, Türkiye, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay.

It’s surprising that Qatar attended and signed. Even Iraq attended and signed.

There’s also a list, below, with those who attended, and those who refused to sign have been highlighted in red by this blog.

Those representatives of countries who refused to sign apparently either went as spies for Russia and/or wanted a chance to go to a Swiss resort at the expense on their respective countries. Many of them have high levels of poverty. Brazil, India, and South Africa are in BRICS alongside Russia, Iran and China. Thailand is trying to join BRICS.

Those who attended and refused to sign are India, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE, South Africa, Armenia, Colombia, Indonesia, Libya, Thailand. Brazil, the Vatican, and the UN used being “observers” as an excuse not to sign. Brazil is a country and the Vatican a City-State. Mexico refused to sign, but will get a new government in October. The OAS and OSCE refused to sign. The Ecumenical Patriarchate acted as an observer and didn’t sign.

Those countries refusing to sign, are refusing to support a “commitment to refraining from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state”.

Those countries refusing to sign, are refusing to support nuclear safety and they are refusing to condemn nuclear threats or use of nuclear weapons.

Those countries refusing to sign are refusing to support food security. They are refusing to support “full and safe commercial navigation”. They are refusing to condemn “attacks on merchant ships”. They are refusing to condemn attacks on civilian ports and port infrastructure. They are refusing to oppose the weaponization of food security.

Those countries refusing to sign, are refusing to support a return of prisoners of war and civilians.

Name them again and shame them: India, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE, South Africa, Armenia, Colombia, Indonesia, Libya, Thailand, Brazil, Mexico, the Vatican, the UN, the OAS, OSCE refused to sign.

Friend and ally of Russia and Iran, India actually sent their Ambassador to Russia, Pavan Kapoor, who was only replaced by a new one a few days ago: “India did not associate itself with any communique/document emerging from this Summit.”https://web.archive.org/web/20240616194340/https://www.mea.gov.in/press-releases.htm?dtl/37878/Indias_participation_in_the_Summit_on_Peace_in_Ukraine

Kuwait didn’t bother to attend or sign. Why did we save Kuwait when they were invaded by Saddam’s Iraq? And, afterwards, Kuwait permanently banished around 400,000 Palestinians, who were well-established in the country, many who born there, including the current Queen of Jordan and her family. Brazil is part of BRICS with Russia, India, China, South Africa and Iran.

Those countries refusing to sign should not be allowed anywhere near nuclear anything and should receive no help in the event that they are invaded. It is alarming that Saudi Arabia refused to sign this, when they are trying to get nuclear technology. Jordan signed. Maybe now’s the time to remember that Saudi Arabia is occupying Hejaz, which belongs to the Jordanian Royal House (Hashemites), whose family ruled Mecca from the 10th century. For all the fake oil kingdoms, like Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, maybe it’s time to say “sauve qui peut”. https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/sauve_qui_peut

As reported by Dialog ua: “The communiqué of the Peace Summit was signed by 80 countries and 4 organizations: the media named abstentions- The final communiqué of the Swiss Peace Summit was not signed by all participating countries”, June 16, 2024, 15:19 By Tatiana Shevchenko https://www.dialog.ua

In Bürgenstock, Switzerland, the Global Peace Summit organized by Ukraine is nearing completion. The final declaration was not signed by all countries that took part in the event. The list of signatories was made public at the summit, Dialog.UA reports. 80 countries and 4 other organizations signed the important document. Among the abstentions were Armenia, Brazil, the UAE, India, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Mexico and South Africa.

List of countries that signed the declaration of the Peace Summit on Ukraine

There are 84 countries and organizations in the list of signatories. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine noted that the declaration will be open for signature, that is, even those countries that did not participate in the summit will be able to join it.

Among the signatories there is no Brazil, India, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Indonesia, South Africa and Thailand. These countries were represented at the summit at different levels

The document includes three main points:

▪️ Nuclear safety: return of the ZNPP to Ukraine and the operation of the station under IAEA supervision.
▪️Global food security: safe navigation and Ukraine’s access to ports in the Black and Azov Seas.
▪️All prisoners of war should be released by full exchange, and all deported children and civilians should be returned to Ukraine 16 June 14:56 https://t.me/Ukraine_365News/79944

It should be noted that the final communiqué emphasizes the inadmissibility of Russia’s encroachments on the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine. https://www.dialog.ua/world/296780_1718521780

The document voiced 3 points in which the signatories are in solidarity with each other: a call for the Russian Federation to return control over the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant to Ukraine and stop nuclear threats, ensuring food security and free navigation, as well as a demand for the Russian Federation to release prisoners of war and return the kidnapped children to Ukraine.

Ukraine has already stressed that new countries, including those that did not participate in the Peace Summit, can join the declaration. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, summing up the event, thanked the participating countries for the dialogue. He stressed that these conversations could become “absolutely practical steps” in the future. Earlier, Sullivan named the reason for China’s boycott of the Swiss Peace Summit. We also wrote that Ukraine is ready to start negotiations with the Russian Federation at the second Peace Summit.

Here is the “Joint Communiqué on a Peace Framework”:
Summit on Peace for Ukraine – Joint Communiqué on a Peace Framework
June 16, 2024
Lucerne, Switzerland

The ongoing war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine continues to cause large-scale human suffering and destruction, and to create risks and crises with global repercussions.

We gathered in Switzerland on 15-16 June 2024 to enhance a high-level dialogue on pathways towards a comprehensive, just and lasting peace for Ukraine. We reiterated resolutions A/RES/ES-1 and A/RES/ES-11/6 adopted at the UN General Assembly and underscored our commitment to upholding International Law including the United Nations Charter.

This Summit was built on the previous discussions that have taken place based on Ukraine’s Peace Formula and other peace proposals which are in line with international law, including the United Nations Charter.

We deeply appreciate Switzerland’s hospitality and its initiative to host the High-Level Summit as expression of its firm commitment to promoting international peace and security.

We had a fruitful, comprehensive and constructive exchange of various views on pathways towards a framework for a comprehensive, just and lasting peace based on international law, including the United Nations Charter. In particular, we reaffirm our commitment to refraining from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state, the principles of sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of all states, including Ukraine, within their internationally recognized borders, including territorial waters, and the resolution of disputes through peaceful means as principles of international law.

We, furthermore, have a common vision on the following crucial aspects:
1. Firstly, any use of nuclear energy and nuclear installations must be safe, secured, safe-guarded and environmentally sound. Ukrainian nuclear power plants and installations, including Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, must operate safely and securely under full sovereign control of Ukraine and in line with IAEA principles and under its supervision.
Any threat or use of nuclear weapons in the context of the ongoing war against Ukraine is inadmissible.

2. Secondly, global food security depends on uninterrupted manufacturing and supply of food products. In this regard, free, full and safe commercial navigation, as well as access to sea ports in the Black and Azov Seas, are critical. Attacks on merchant ships in ports and along the entire route, as well as against civilian ports and civilian port infrastructure, are unacceptable.
Food security must not be weaponized in any way. Ukrainian agricultural and other products should be securely and freely provided to interested third countries.

3. Thirdly, all prisoners of war must be released by complete exchange. All deported and unlawfully displaced Ukrainian children, and all other Ukrainian civilians who were unlawfully detained, must be returned to Ukraine.

We believe that reaching peace requires the involvement of and dialogue between all parties. We, therefore, decided to undertake concrete steps in the future in the above-mentioned areas with further engagement of the representatives all parties.

The United Nations Charter, including the principles of respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of all states, can and will serve as a basis in achieving a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in Ukraine.” https://www.pm.gc.ca/en/news/statements/2024/06/16/summit-peace-ukraine-joint-communique-peace-framework

I know why Jamal was killed’: Saudi activist in Canada says hacked phones led to Jamal Khashoggi’s murder: Omar Abdulaziz is still calling for justice for Khashoggi’s assassination and is giving young Saudis a voice” By Andréa Schmidt, Posted: Nov 01, 2021 11:01 AM EDT, Last Updated: July 26, 2022 https://www.cbc.ca/documentaries/the-passionate-eye/i-know-why-jamal-was-killed-1.6232638 His uncle was arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi and his aunt was the mother of Dodi Fayed, who died in an auto accident with Princess Diana. So, Jamal and Dodi Fayed were cousins. Maybe Jamal was killed simply because he knew too much. Adnan Khashoggi died on June 6, 2017 and Jamal was killed on October 2, 2018.
