News titles follow introductory commentary on Holtec.

Ukraine should not be fooled by Holtec.  Ukraine is in a good position to #StopHoltec.  Ukraine has metals mines and must have the specifications for nuclear waste cans from the Soviet era.  Ukraine should make their own nuclear waste cans and equipment.  During the war, Poland can make them for Ukraine in a Joint Venture.  They don’t need Russian or Holtec nuclear waste cans.  And, they will know what they are made of and the specifications.

You will see Holtec called an “American” company, even in India! Yet, we don’t even know for certain who owns it, but it is supposed to be Kris Singh, an Asian-Indian who moved to the United States as an adult.   Since India works so closely with Russia, Russia could be the true owner of Holtec.  Holtec was disbarred for bribing TVA officials: “Holtec International, which cans most of the high level nuclear waste in the USA, apparently conned the TVA employee who they bribed for contracts. They paid for him to go to Trump’s Taj Mahal, and paid him part of the bribe, but they reportedly failed to follow through on their promises – not once, but twice.”https://miningawareness.wordpress.com/2019/08/08/holtec-international-tricked-the-tva-nuclear-employee-who-they-bribed-according-to-oig-report/

As US attorneys noted: “Holtec should not be able to use a highly regulated and publicly funded industry to make profits, but to refuse to provide information about the cask business when the information it possesses about cask costs are an integral part of the damages claimed by the plaintiff in this case. When faced with damages of the magnitude of those being claimed by ComEd, it is imperative that we determine the reasonableness of these claims against the Federal Treasury.” “COMMONWEALTH EDISON COMPANY, Plaintiff, v. No. 98-621C Judge Hewitt UNITED STATES, Defendant, Case 1:98-cv-00621-ECH , Document 288 , Filed 03/12/2004“, Page 6 of 9 https://www.plainsite.org/dockets/7qrrxb8n/united-states-court-of-federal-claims/commonwealth-edison-v-usa/ Even after being subpoenaed by the US government, Holtec belligerently refused to help the US government understand the costs of spent nuclear fuel dry cask storage, costing the US taxpayer unknown amounts. As Holtec has moved into nuclear power station decommissioning, Holtec has belligerently refused to work with state and local governments and citizens, as well.  https://miningawareness.wordpress.com/2019/08/20/holtec-refused-to-provide-info-re-its-spent-fuel-casks-to-the-us-govt-despite-subpoena-what-is-holtec-hiding/

“We have trust in our attorney general in her word that Holtec will be held accountable, but we want people to understand that Holtec is planning an illegal activity with impunity,” Turco said of water discharge plans. “Dumping into Cape Cod Bay is illegal. Dumping any radionuclides into a protected ocean sanctuary is illegal” Holtec dumping of radioactive water at NJ plant spurs questions about Pilgrim’s future” by SARAH CARLON   | Cape Cod Timeshttps://eu.capecodtimes.com/story/news/2022/09/23/discharge-new-jersey-nuclear-plant-raises-questions-pilgrim/10376312002/

From Ukrinform: “Energoatom, Holtec International discuss joint projects, deepening of cooperation Energoatom National Nuclear Energy Generating Company of Ukraine President Petro Kotin and Holtec International Vice President for Ukraine Operations Riaz Awan have met and discussed further cooperation between the two companies”
