About 600 wounded are blocked at Azovstal steelworks in Mariupol in appalling unsanitary conditions, without water, food and medicines.

“As for the wounded, the situation is very bad, there are about 600 of them. The conditions are just awful, everyone has probably seen the photos on social networks. Honestly, I can’t convey the depressing situation in a hospital … Roughly speaking, there is a huge gym, several dozen bunk beds, the rest lie on the floor. Fighters without limbs – some of them without arms, some – without legs, some – just with wounds – lie next to each other. There are complete unsanitary conditions: flies, smell,” a representative of the Main Department of the National Police in Donetsk Region, call sign Police, who now stays at Azovstal, said at the air of nationwide telethon.
