Putin really had it all planned. He waited until Russia has the presidency of the UN Security Council – the month of February 2022. Nonetheless, there are some good speeches, for instance from Kenya. Kenya’s UN Ambassador Martin Kimani spoke of the issues of borders, ethnicity, and imperialism. Albania’s Ambassador to the United Nations Ferit Hoxha spoke of the dangers of the Russian model of instrumentalising ethnic minorities. The German Ambassador spoke with the lack of enthusiasm that reflects Germany’s response.
