Benito Mussolini and Fascist blackshirts during the March on Rome in 1922

As pointed out in a newsreel from the end of World War II, Italy went Fascist long before Germany, and Mussolini inspired Hitler. There are several reasons that we focus upon this, including that some ethnic Italians are still giving themselves airs of racial, cultural and moral superiority, and introspection is warranted. Additionally, Italian Archbishop Vigano has apparently come under attack by newspapers owned by the Italian Agnelli family (Exor-FIAT), whose empire was initially built upon their ancestor’s funding and close relationship with Mussolini. It appears that the failure to point out and the failure to punish Italy’s fascists, and funders of fascism, may be central to much that is going on today. Is Fauci ethnic Chinese? Is Pelosi? Is Pope Francis? Italians, by the way, have been doing business in China for almost 2,000 years, including in communist China. Exor just bought a Chinese luxury goods company, Shang Xia: “Exor is the leading diversified holding company controlled by the Agnelli family. For over a century, Exor has built great companies and made successful investments worldwide with a culture that combines entrepreneurial spirit and financial discipline. With a Net Asset Value of over $32 billion, its portfolio is principally made up of companies in which Exor is the largest shareholder: Ferrari, Stellantis, PartnerRe, CNH Industrial, Juventus FC, The Economist, GEDI Gruppo Editoriale and SHANG XIA”. https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/911421/000091142121000060/oct2021exorcoveapressrelea.htm

In 2002, “The grandson of Giovanni Agnelli, patriarch of the Fiat fortune. New York-born Elkann was one of the young talents selected by the organizers of the World Economic Forum–also known as Davos–as one of this year’s “Global Leaders of Tomorrow.” http://web.archive.org/web/20200923202827/https://www.forbes.com/2002/03/15/0315successor.html#48c749bc1931

Intentionally hidden, under mounds of pasta, tomato sauce, olive oil, cheese, and pizza, is the seriousness of Mussolini, Italian fascism and its crimes.Italy’s bloody secret: They were always portrayed as victims of fascism, but Mussolini’s soldiers committed atrocities which for 60 years have gone unpunished. Now the conspiracy of silence is at last starting to unravel. Fascist Mussolini marched on Rome in 1922 and took control of Italy. Inspired by Mussolini, National Socialist Hitler did his attempted beer hall putsch in 1923. Mussolini became dictator in 1925. Hitler didn’t manage to take power until 11 years after Mussolini (1933). This newsreel of the period says that Hitler came to study and emulate Mussolini: “Mussolini, the would-be Caesar, the founder of Fascism, started with an armed gang and finally built it into an army, seizing power after a sham march on Rome in 1922. Also now reported dead, Adolf Hitler came to study and emulate the master Mussolini, busy with plans for Ethiopia, Spain, and Mediterranean empire. [Crowd cheers, Mussolini speaks.] In 1943, Mussolini defeated in Italy, was rescued by Nazi paratroops. Wild-eyed, he ran to Hitler. Now, the last pictures of Il Duce alive. This was the end of Benito Mussolini.https://encyclopedia.ushmm.org/content/en/film/benito-mussolini?parent=en%2F51785

Nonetheless, Hitler put anti-Jewish laws into effect in 1933. Mussolini didn’t put anti-Jewish laws into effect until 1938. There were Jewish members of the Fascist party until that time. Giovanni Agnelli (1866 – 1945) of Fiat supported Mussolini starting ca 1914. At least one member of the Jewish Ovazza banking family was an early fascist. The current CEO of Exor (FIAT), John Elkann, descends from both families. Giovanni Agnelli is his great-great grandfather. Ettore Ovazza was his great uncle: “Ettore Ovazza was a committed Fascist from the start. He took part in the March on Rome in October 1922; in 1929 he was invited to meet Mussolini as a part of a delegation of Jewish war veterans. He later described the encounter: “On hearing my affirmation of the unshakeable loyalty of Italian Jews to the Fatherland, His Excellency Mussolini looks me straight in the eye and says with a voice that penetrates straight to my heart: ‘I have never doubted it’. When Il Duce bids us farewell with a Roman salute, I feel an urge to embrace him, as a fascist, as an Italian, but I can’t; and approaching him at his desk I say: ‘Excellency, I would like to shake your hand’. It is not a fascist gesture, but it is a cry from the heart… Such is The Man that Providence has given to Italy”.

In the 1920s and 1930s Fascist attitudes to the Jewish population began to change. Adolf Hitler came to power in Germany and, although Benito Mussolini rejected his racist views, they influenced some leading Fascists in Italy. In 1934 several Jews were arrested in Turin for smuggling in anti-Fascist literature. Ettore Ovazza reacted by doubling his efforts to support the Fascist regime. He founded the newspaper La nostra bandiera (Our Flag), reminding Italians of the Jewish sacrifice for Italy in the Great War. Taking a leading role in the Jewish community in Turin, Ovazza ensured that all the key positions were held by Fascist supporters. When Mussolini invaded Abyssinia [Ethiopia], he immediately volunteered for service, an offer that was turned down probably due to his age (43). Despite the beginnings of anti-semitism, Ovazza was still being rewarded for his patriotism. In 1935 he was honoured for his contribution to the colony of Libya and in the following year was invited at the honour guard at the tomb of the royal family in Superga (Turin).https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ettore_Ovazza
Ettore Ovazza kept his faith in Mussolini for too long, and then was killed while trying to escape Italy.

Dichiarazione di guerra agli U.S.A. 11 dicembre 1941

Italian declaration of war on the United States
On December 11, 1941, Italy declared war on the United States in response to the latter’s declaration of war upon the Empire of Japan following the attack on Pearl Harbor four days earlier. Germany also declared war on the U.S. the same day. The US immediately responded by declaring war on Germany and Italy, thus thrusting the United States in fighting two major fronts across the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans in World War II.

On December 7, 1941, 353 aircraft of the Empire of Japan attacked the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor and inflicted mass destruction to American life and property, beginning a war between Japan and the United States. On December 8, 1941, the U.S. declared war upon Japan in response to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

Three days later, Italian dictator, Benito Mussolini, made his declaration first – from the balcony over the Piazza Venezia in Rome – pledging the “powers of the pact of steel” were determined to win. Then Adolf Hitler made his announcement at the Reichstag in Berlin saying he had tried to avoid direct conflict with the U.S. but, under the Tripartite Pact signed on 27 September 1940, Germany was obliged to join with Italy to defend its ally Japan.

Hitler stated that, “After victory has been achieved, Germany, Italy and Japan will continue in closest co-operation with a view to establishing a new and just order.”[1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italian_declaration_of_war_on_the_United_States

Mussolini’s War Statement – Declaration of War against the United States:
Rome, December 11, 1941
This is another day of solemn decision in Italy’s history and of memorable events destined to give a new course to the history of continents.

The powers of the steel pact, Fascist Italy and Nationalist Socialist Germany, ever closely linked, participate from today on the side of heroic Japan against the United States of America.

The Tripartite Pact becomes a military alliance which draws around its colors 250,000,000 men determined to do all in order to win.

Neither the Axis nor Japan wanted an extension of the conflict.

One man, one man only, a real tyrannical democrat, through a series of infinite provocations, betraying with a supreme fraud the population of his country, wanted the war and had prepared for it day by day with diabolical obstinacy.

The formidable blows that on the immense Pacific expanse have been already inflicted on American forces show how prepared are the soldiers of the Empire of the Rising Sun.

I say to you, and you will understand, that it is a privilege to fight with them.

Today, the Tripartite Pact, with the plenitude of its forces and its moral and material resources, is a formidable instrument for the war and a certainty for victory.

Tomorrow, the Tripartite Pact will become an instrument of just peace between the peoples.

Italians! Once more arise and be worthy of this historical hour!

We shall win.

The US Congress declared war on Germany, first, and one minute later upon Italy.

March on Rome 1922. That certainly resembles the migrant caravans coming to the United States.

But, that didn’t last: Mussolini hanging upside down
