Once again, Biden’s Sec of State Tony Blinken helped former KGB Agent Putin. He gave Putin his vengeance. Afghanistan “became the Soviet’s Vietnam. This – the Soviet Union was disgraced in the world’s eyes because it was driven out of Afghanistan by a bunch of ragtag rebels. Now, they had good weapons but they lost. And it was clearly one of the things that I – that everyone believes, led to the ultimate demise of the Soviet Union.” See: “The Real-Life Story Behind ‘Charlie Wilson’s War’” December 24, 2007 https://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=17580376

While Americans and others are trying to flee, the Russian Embassy is reported as under Taliban protection. Blinken’s step-father and apparent mentor, Sam Pisar, worked as a lawyer helping businessmen do business in the USSR, during the Cold War, when almost no one did business there. US Senator Cruz, 8:28 PM · Aug 17, 2021: “President Biden’s administration couldn’t confirm today they’ve developed a plan for getting all Americans out of Afghanistan or continuing evacuations after August 31. This is completely unacceptable. President Biden and his advisers need to stop pointing fingers and playing blame games, and focus on getting all of our citizens out.

Many other members of Congress and I have organized our staffs and resources to provide any and all assistance possible for constituents, their families, and others who are trying to get out of the country. President Biden should have already had a plan, and now he must reassure the American people that his whole administration is working on creating and implementing one immediately.” https://twitter.com/SenTedCruz/status/1427789439401611265

US Senator Ted Cruz @SenTedCruz:
Joe Biden blamed President Trump, whose framework and deadlines Biden-Harris officials abandoned.

He blamed the Afghan military in which he had put his ‘trust,’ saying they lacked the will.

He blamed everyone except himself.

That is not the behavior of a leader.

Sen. Cruz: We Must Secure the Safety of Americans in Afghanistan and Ensure Biden Admin Held Accountable For Disastrously False Assurances
August 15, 2021
HOUSTON, Texas – U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, today issued the following statement as reports confirm the Taliban swept into the capital of Afghanistan:

“It is now clear there has been a disastrous breakdown across the political, military, and intelligence leadership of the Biden-Harris administration, culminating in the catastrophe for American national security we are now witnessing. This debacle should never have happened-and, indeed, we were assured it would not happen. In just the last few weeks, top officials from the administration, including Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Milley and President Biden himself, stood in front of cameras and told Americans their plan for withdrawing from Afghanistan was sound, the country’s military was capable of defending the country, and a Taliban onslaught could not succeed.

“We now know those assurances were disastrously wrong, if not outright false.

“I have long called for the U.S. to withdraw from Afghanistan. Wars must have ends. The Trump administration had negotiated the basis for an orderly withdrawal from Afghanistan. But this White House tore up that deal and instead pursued an incoherent and precipitous abandonment that subordinated realistic planning and military necessity to wishful thinking and political ideology.

“Our men and women in uniform have fought heroically for decades, in Afghanistan and elsewhere, and it is impossible to adequately express the gratitude Americans feel and the immense debt we owe them. Their leaders have too often let them down and did here again. They and other brave Americans in Afghanistan are in precisely the acute danger President Biden assured the American public would not happen.

“Our first priority must be to secure the safety of Americans still in Afghanistan. Then Congress must demand a thorough accounting both of what is happening in Afghanistan and why Biden-Harris officials have been consistently issuing assessments that were at best, misleading, and at worst, false. Either there was a complete collapse of American intelligence collecting in the region, President Biden was deliberately misled by his hand-picked national security team, or he knowingly issued statements he knew to be false. The American people deserve to know the truth and hold our leaders accountable.” ### https://www.cruz.senate.gov/?p=press_release&id=6009

US “Sen. Cruz: Biden’s Afghanistan Policy Led To ‘Embarrassing Spectacle, Diplomatic Humiliation, and National Security Catastrophe’

August 13, 2021
HOUSTON, Texas – U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, today issued the following statement on conditions in Afghanistan:

“I have long called for a deliberative, planned, vetted, and secure withdrawal from Afghanistan while maintaining maximum leverage. Wars should have ends. That is the opposite of what President Biden has pursued.

“The Trump administration spent years negotiating an orderly withdrawal on a fixed timetable with extensive support from regional actors. President Biden tore up that approach, as he did with so many of the national security victories from the Trump era: halting Putin’s Nord Stream 2 pipeline, achieving the Abraham Accords, imposing maximum pressure on Iran, cutting off Palestinian terrorists, working with partners throughout the Western Hemisphere to contain illegal immigration, and the list goes on and on.

“In Afghanistan, President Biden said he was putting his ‘trust’ in ‘the capacity of the Afghan military,’ and the result has been, again, an embarrassing spectacle, a diplomatic humiliation, and a national security catastrophe.https://www.cruz.senate.gov/?p=press_release&id=6008

Blinken served on Bill Clinton’s National Security Council (NSC) and his half-sister Leah Pisar was a director of communications for the NSC. Blinken “supported the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in 2003. In 2002, Blinken was appointed staff director for the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, a position he served in until 2008. Blinken assisted then-Senator Joe Biden, Chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, in formulating Biden’s support for the U.S. invasion of Iraq, with Blinken characterizing the vote to invade Iraq as “a vote for tough diplomacy“. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antony_Blinken

Blinken’s stepfather, Sam Pisar, helped companies do business with the Soviet Union during the Cold War and was Robert Maxwell’s lawyer and confidant. Robert Maxwell was the father of Jeff Epstein’s side-kick Ghislaine Maxwell. Pisar appears to have worked for Epstein, too, based on one French report.

Blinken-Biden to Waive US Sanctions on Russia’s Nord Stream 2 (Reports); Blinken’s Russophile Step-Father Did Business with the USSR & Dreamed of the US & Russia as Allies

As “Chaos enveloped Kabul’s main airport, with thousands of Afghans frantically rushing to flee Taliban fighters while U.S. Marines sought to provide security for American diplomats and allies being evacuated. Across town outside the Russian Embassy on August 16, it was a different scene: Taliban fighters taking up guard duties at the outer perimeter of the sprawling post: steel, brick, and barbed-wire walls outside; fountains, manicured lawns and rose bushes inside… Moscow has quietly built up its diplomatic ties with the Taliban for several years now.…

The top U.S. and Russian diplomats, Antony Blinken and Sergei Lavrov, spoke by phone on August 16, discussing “the situation in Afghanistan after the flight of the country’s leader, the disintegration of the existing government bodies, and a de-facto ongoing regime change,” according to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The two also agreed “to continue consultations” that would involve China, Pakistan, other “interested nations” and to press the United Nations to organize some sort of meeting of Afghan society and government.” Excerpted from: “Beneath The Gloating, Taliban Takeover Brings Unwelcome New Uncertainty For Moscow” August 17, 2021, By Mike Eckel https://gandhara.rferl.org/a/afghanistan-taliban-takeover-russia/31415340.html The article is more worthwhile than the title, which was apparently chosen by a Biden propagandist. Sadly RFERL and VOA have become mostly anti-American propaganda organs, and many of the workers are foreigners on temp J-1 visas. Obama did away with the Board of Governors that helped provide balance. RFERL and VOA largely promoted the Dems anti-American agenda, even when Trump was in office.
