The DC Central Detention Facility is located in the Washington DC Police Headquarters. It’s also known as the DC Jail. Who appoints the Police Chief? Mayor Bowser.

The January 6th detainees are still awaiting trial and are in pre-trial detention in a Washington DC City Jail: “The DC Central Detention Facility holds pretrial detainees, as well as sentenced inmates, who are waiting to be transferred to the US Federal Bureau of Prisons https://doc.dc. gov. They must have some sort of agreement with the Federal Government like some local governments have with ICE.

Mayor Bowser went to China in 2015 and renewed the Washington DC- Beijing sister city agreement. Sister cities apparently vary. However, the Washington DC-Beijing one is apparently very extensive – economic and cultural. Washington DC also has a foreign office in Shanghai, China.

The Washington DC government appears so connected to China, that maybe the DC Jail should be called a CCP-China Federal Prison. It is apparently acting like it, too.

US Congressman Gohmert: “Setting an appointment with the D.C. Central Detention Facility would actually require them to respond to our request. It is ironic that in their statement about our visit to the jail yesterday, the Department of Corrections mentioned the due process rights of inmates. We know there are accusations that the civil rights of many of the January 6 detainees are being violated, hence our demand for a tour of the facility. Failing to respond to our request does not mean that we will be deterrred in our efforts to see that the rule of law is upheld.” US Congressman Louie Gohmert (TX-01).

US Congressman Paul Gosar @DrPaulGosar July 29 2021: “I am proud to stand for due process for all prisoners with @mattgaetz @mtgreenee @replouiegohmert All people deserve respect and dignity and fairness. We are here at the DC jail and staff here are hostile. https://twitter.com/DrPaulGosar/status/1420779571796979715

Rep. Matt Gaetz @RepMattGaetz, Jul 29 BREAKING: The DC Department of Corrections locked out multiple Members of Congress from reviewing the conditions of the January 6th prisoners. What are they hiding?“ In the video US Congressman Gaetz explains that as members of the US House Judiciary Committee both he and Congressman Gohmert have oversight responsibility:

DC Central Detention Facility is situated in the police headquarters in Washington, District of Columbia.https://archive.is/J4Ux7

The DC Department of Corrections (DOC) is one of several agencies under the oversight of the Deputy City Administrator/ Deputy Mayor for Public Safety and Justice…. DOC currently operates one of the largest municipal jail systems in the country with an average daily population of approximately 1,700 inmates. Those in the custody of  DOC include males (93 percent) and females (7 percent). The DOC system is comprised of two primary correctional facilities—the Central Detention Facility also known as the DC Jail and Correctional Treatment Facility….https://archive.is/C9BRc

Our Facilities. The Central Detention Facility houses pretrial detainees and sentenced inmates awaiting transfer to the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Women, adult men and juveniles being adjudicated as adults are housed at the Correctional Treatment Facilityhttps://doc.dc. gov

The trouble is that it’s not a US Federal Prison. It’s apparently the Washington DC City jail and is located in Washington DC police headquarters. The police chief is the Mayor’s recent appointee – December 2020.

Wow… @MattGaetz @mtgreenee @replouiegohmert, and @RepGosar have been locked out of the federal prison while trying to ask questions and evaluate the conditions

The January 6th Protestors are Federal detainees but this is not a US Federal Prison. The Washington DC government appears so connected to China, that maybe it should be called a China Federal Prison.

US Congresswoman “Marjorie Taylor Greene @mtgreenee
I’m glad we finally heard from the Deplorable Jail.
1. Inmates in your jail are not residents, they are being detained while awaiting trial.
2. You were notified of our intent to visit and regardless Congress has oversight of federal prisons.
We were told we were trespassing while conducting oversight, which is our job.

3. The “camera crews” were members of the press that have the freedom of press, which you denied.
4. We have heard horror stories of the treatment of detainees in your facility under your supervision We look forward to touring your facility very soon. The American people deserve answers. And we will continue to demand the truth until we get it. We have a justice system in America and people’s rights will not be violated.
