Hawley letter excerpt: “As you know, Mr. Syed has been an active board member of Emgage Action since 2017, a political action committee affiliated with Emgage USA and vocally anti-Israel…. The organization amplified accusations that Israel is an apartheid state and issued a statement of support after a House member [Ilan Omar] inexcusably equated Israel and the United States to Hamas and Taliban terrorist organizations, something that earned the rebuke of the Democratic Speaker of the House. These comments are not only inflammatory, they demonstrate a deep-seated prejudice that is of serious concern to the small business community.”

Biden Pakistani Small Business Administration (SBA) nominee, Dilawar Syed, is supposed to be acting as a US government servant. A US government servant should be Pro-American, period. It is shameful that so many US Senators appear more concerned about his connections to an alleged Anti-Israel Group, which may even be a Pro-Israel Group in disguise, and not concerned that his area of expertise appears to be milking the US government for loans, minority contract set-asides, and bringing in a bunch of foreign nationals on H1Bs and Green Cards.

The big con is that Syed is eligible for minority contract set-asides supposedly intended for African Americans whose ancestors were enslaved within the United States. So, it appears that he’s just going to be teaching immigrants how to set up small business, get minority contracts, and run immigration pyramid schemes, all on the backs of the US taxpayer-debt. Fake minority immigrants, who are on-the-make, are a large reason the United States has so many problems.

Furthermore, Dilawar Syed, refused to give information to US Senator Paul about the PPP loan, which he got for his company, Lumiata. It seems that an IT/AI company focusing on healthcare, like Lumiata, was the least likely to need the PPP loans. And, yet, Lumiata took over half a million dollars. Meanwhile, the funds ran out and were unavailable for those that really needed help. He claims to have since paid the money back, but it was unavailable for others who needed it last year.

Apparently at least 15 of the 24 Lumiata workers whose jobs were allegedly “saved” by the PPP loans are foreign H1B workers and those seeking green cards. We only know the national origin of those applying for green cards: Iran, India, Singapore. We don’t know the national origins of the others, nor their educational backgrounds. We also do not know how many workers are currently on green cards, after coming in on H1Bs over the 7 years of existence of the company.

Instead of hiring foreigners to teach foreigners to get small (minority) business loans, we need Americans to help African Americans, like George Floyd, to obtain minority small business loans. If the Biden Administration cared about African Americans, then they would hire an African American (ADOS), rather than a Pakistani who hires foreigners. Why wasn’t George Floyd the owner of Cup foods, instead of immigrants?

US Senator Rand Paul grilled Dilawar Syed on his PPP Loans, and notably has not signed onto the current letter.

The group that Hawley et al. are concerned about is Emgage with an “m” for Muslim. Remember that Pakistan was founded as a Muslim country decades before the Iranian Revolution.

The father of Ilhan Omar obtained a military education in Russia before joining the Somali National Army, where he served under the Somali General who became President of a one party Marxist-Leninist Communist State, supported by the USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics). They waged war against Ethiopia. Her father became a Colonial in this Soviet backed army. He led a regiment in the 1977-78 Somali-Ethiopian war. According to his obit: “Nur played a significant role in the war… He was one of the officers who were recognized for their work.”… His “prestigious” military career ended in 1991, after the fall of the Soviet Union. Apparently with no more financial support, the regime was removed and Somalia entered a Civil War. US “Senator Hawley, Colleagues Call for Another Hearing on SBA Nominee After Ties to Anti-Israel Group Revealed

Wednesday, June 30, 2021

Today U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) and seven colleagues sent a letter to Senate Small Business Committee Chairman Ben Cardin (D-Md.) calling for an additional hearing on Dilawar Syed, President Biden’s nominee for SBA deputy administrator. The senators’ concerns come from recent inflammatory statements from Emgage Action, a vocally anti-Israel political action committee of which Syed is a member of the board.

“While his membership was disclosed to the committee prior to his nomination hearing on April 21, the political organization has since made alarming statements that have members of your committee and the small business community that we represent seriously concerned,” the senators write. “Emgage’s history of supporting the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement combined with its overtly anti-Israel positions and rhetoric necessitates an additional hearing to ensure Mr. Syed’s confirmation to be the second-most-powerful individual at the SBA would not jeopardize small businesses with close ties to Israeli companies or small businesses owned by Jewish Americans.”

Senators Jim Risch (R-Idaho), Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Tim Scott (R-S.C.), John Kennedy (R-La.), James Inhofe (R-Ark.), Roger Marshall (R-Kansas), and Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) cosigned the letter.

The Honorable Ben Cardin
Chairman
Senate Committee on Small
Business and Entrepreneurship
428A Russell Senate Office Building
Washington, D.C. 20515

Dear Chairman Cardin:

We write today to express serious concern regarding Mr. Dilawar Syed, President Biden’s nominee to be Deputy Administrator of the Small Business Administration (SBA), given his involvement with Emgage Action. As you know, Mr. Syed has been an active board member of Emgage Action since 2017, a political action committee affiliated with Emgage USA and vocally anti-Israel.

While his membership was disclosed to the committee prior to his nomination hearing on April 21, the political organization has since made alarming statements that have members of your committee and the small business community that we represent seriously concerned.

Following Mr. Syed’s confirmation hearing, Emgage Action released incendiary statements during the regional unrest, stating “This state of affairs is not a case of ‘both sides.’ Not when Palestinians are occupied and the State of Israel is the occupier.”

The organization amplified accusations that Israel is an apartheid state and issued a statement of support after a House member [Ilan Omar] inexcusably equated Israel and the United States to Hamas and Taliban terrorist organizations, something that earned the rebuke of the Democratic Speaker of the House. These comments are not only inflammatory, they demonstrate a deep-seated prejudice that is of serious concern to the small business community.

Emgage’s history of supporting the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement combined with its overtly anti-Israel positions and rhetoric necessitates an additional hearing to ensure Mr. Syed’s confirmation to be the second-most-powerful individual at the SBA would not jeopardize small businesses with close ties to Israeli companies or small businesses owned by Jewish Americans. If an individual who supports these accusations was to be confirmed, it would hinder the close cooperation businesses in America and Israel have in areas such as, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, medicine, bio-medicine, and more.

Respectfully,

James E. Risch

Hawley Demands Biden SBA Nominee Renounce Anti-Semitic Rhetoric
Thursday, June 17, 2021
Following new revelations today, U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) called for Biden nominee Dilawar Syed to explain his work for an organization that has engaged in anti-Semitic rhetoric. Syed is the Biden Administration nominee for deputy director of the Small Business Administration (SBA). Syed previously sat on the board of an organization, Emgage Action, that has echoed the anti-Semitic remarks of Representative Ilhan Omar and others, including calling Israel an “apartheid state” and accusing Israel of “war crimes.”

“Dilawar Syed was a director for an organization that has engaged in anti-Semitic rhetoric, including amplifying false statements that Israel is an ‘apartheid state.’ This rhetoric is disgusting and inexcusable. Mr. Syed must renounce this hateful rhetoric and explain his association with this organization. The Small Business Committee must convene a hearing to ask Mr. Syed about these actions and determine whether he is fit to serve.”
