This is one of several related comments coming up:
The Chinese, people from India and a lot of other foreigners are all over this and putting in tons of comments. This is one of several related comment deadlines. As can be seen, the foreigners only think of themselves. They don’t think of American workers. Americans need to think of American workers. Americans need to speak up. These foreigners are the folk who hate America First, the foreigners who want to put themselves first in a country which is not their own:

This is a rule that the Trump administration put forth, which is supposed to help reduce H1B immigration abuses/restrict H1B. If Biden-Harris win, they are going to expand this program rather than restrict it. The Biden-Harris quasi open-borders program is so extreme that you will probably see an entire country “going postal”. It won’t be pretty. This appears to be the real reason why the mainstream media hate and have demonized Trump. Trump dared to suggest that this program should be restricted and has enforced the existing law just a little bit better. Most mainstream media is linked with companies that use H1B workers (e.g. AT&T, which owns CNN, Comcast owns NBC, etc.) Kamala Harris’ fellow Tamil Brahmin is CEO of Google. Trump also dared to do border enforcement, which they won’t do.
Don’t be fooled by the lies. The election is not over. The votes won’t be certified until December, if then. This was the case in 2000, and it’s the case in 2020. By law, it’s always the case. In 2000 war in the Middle East (Bush) or peace (Al Gore) was at stake.
The stakes are very very high in this election. The very future of the country is at stake. It’s not just a bland change of regime.
If the US is really importing excellence then they should put the salary at a minimum of $200,000.
Most importantly, they need to do away with dual intent for H1B. H1B workers should be temporary and return home. There should be no applying for green cards while working on H1Bs.
Furthermore, the H1Bs should be hired only for 3 to 6 months and all efforts made to find and, if necessary, train Americans for this position.
US Tech workers have started to unify against the H1Bs. Group firings have allowed them to band together in solidarity. However, aspiring American academics apparently have not. It is much easier for them to pick off academic positions on a one by one basis.
There should be no H1B visas for universities. There are too many PhDs in all fields of study. Currently there are no caps on H1Bs in universities. This is used as a back door for immigration and ideological control in US universities is passed to foreigners who sometimes don’t speak English; often are anti-American, and oppose American values (e.g. foreign professors promoting racial and gender segregation, rather than integration.) If there were really, truly, a need, for instance a temporary one in Mathematics, then they can create an emergency, temporary visa for that.
Education is supposed to be like a pyramid. Not everyone can be the professor or researcher. There have been too few academic positions available to Americans for decades. The onslaught of foreigners has devalued the PhD, as a degree. Worse, foreigners who don’t care about teaching strip Americans of the right to teach. The immigrant can just sit there, not even attempting to learn English and watches foreign videos in their office, while American would be professors are left to rot.
Re the Biden Harris Immigration platform: “These proposals not only reverse reforms undertaken by the current presidential administration but also make unprecedented and sweeping changes to America’s immigration system… The result would be an eye-popping, unsustainable number of new arrivals in a short period of time.” https://www.fairus.org/sites/default/files/2020-10/biden-harris-platform.pdf https://www.fairus.org/issue/amnesty/numbers-how-biden-harris-immigration-platform The proposals also include green cards for foreign STEM PhDs. The FAIR study is a very low estimate, because it uses a family joining average, which is based on averages which include less populous countries. As well, it doesn’t seem to account for either births within the country or that each new immigrant can sponsor more for perpetuity. For the United States, “Of the top immigrant-sending countries, Mexico has the highest rate of chain migration. In the most recent five-year cohort of immigrants studied (1996-2000), each new Mexican immigrant sponsored 6.38 additional legal immigrants. Chain migration is contributing to the aging of the immigration stream… In recent years, about 21 percent of family migrants were age 50 or older — a rate that is more than 24 percent higher. This trend has implications for the fiscal consequences of immigration. “Immigration Multipliers: Trends in Chain Migration” By Jessica M.
