The bipartisan US Senate intelligence report warned that Russian operatives had amplified Black Lives Matter (BLM) in 2016. Ignoring this point suggests that most Dem leaders did not, and do not, really take the Russian interference investigation seriously. Neither does the media. The current BLM related protest-riots are clearly someone’s active measures, and yet the Dems haven’t objected, despite the pandemic.
“In 2016, Russian operatives associated with the St. Petersburg-based Internet Research Agency (IRA) used social media to conduct an information warfare campaign designed to spread disinformation and societal division in the United States.
Masquerading as Americans, these operatives used targeted advertisements, intentionally falsified news articles, self-generated content, and social media platform tools to interact with and attempt to deceive tens of millions of social media users in the United States. This campaign sought to polarize Americans on the basis of societal, ideological, and racial differences, provoked real world events, and was part of a foreign government’s covert support of Russia’s favored candidate in the U.S. presidential election…” (p. 3)
“(U) The overwhelming preponderance of the video content posted to the IRA’s YouTube channels was aimed directly at the African-American population.
Most of the videos pertained to Police brutality and the activist efforts of the Black Lives Matter organization.
Posted to 10 of the IRA’s YouTube channels, were 1,063 videos-or roughly 96 percent of the IRA content–dedicated to issues of race and police brutality. The names of the IRA’s YouTube channels were consistent with the posted video content and included “Black Matters,” “BlackToLive,” “Cop Block US,” “Don’t Shoot,.” and “PoliceState.” (p. 58)
“Demonstrative of the range of themes the IRA targeted on its Facebook pages, the 10 most active IRA-administered Facebook pages” included”Blacktivist” (targeted at African-Americans, and focused on African-American cultural issues and police brutality)… ”BM” (racial equality and police brutality)…”BM” was a replacement page for the IRA’s “Black Matters US” page~ which Facebook took down in 2016. The IRA used the BM Facebook page to direct users to the Black Matters US website…” (p. 38) See: (U)REPORT OF THE SELECT COMMITTEE ON INTELLIGENCE UNITED STATES SENATE ON RUSSIAN ACTIVE MEASURE;S CAMPAIGNS AND INTERFERENCE IN THE 2016 U.S. ELECTION VOLUME 2: RUSSIA’S USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA WITH ADDITIONAL VIEWS https://www.intelligence.senate.gov/sites/default/files/documents/Report_Volume2.pdf. Interesting that Senator Mark Warner, the Dem on the intel committee, is at the forefront of trying to give our stealth tech to India. India is a back door to Russia and their partner.
The manner by which BLM and related entities receive money through foundations, etc., appears to leave the door open to foreign funding.
