Too bad that the UK didn’t keep and provide for Trump’s mother during the Great Depression and sent her our way instead. It would have saved everyone a lot of grief. Too bad the US took her in, even as the unemployment rate was already at 10% (and rising) in early 1930, and another maid certainly wasn’t needed after so many people lost their money in the 1929 stock market crash. American kids were crying themselves to sleep from hunger, and yet we took his mother in, saving the UK welfare money, it seems. Trump’s mother was born and raised on a Scottish island, and his first language is reportedly Scots Gaelic.
If Scotland and/or the UK have to pay up, it’s a good lesson that if you deport your excess population, then it can come home to bite. Ditto for immigrant imports. No surprises that the US, under Trump, will continue to allow immigrant workers to steal American jobs, despite the pandemic and high unemployment rate: https://www.ustechworkers.com/economy-be-damned-congress-wants-more-tech-health-care-green-cards/
US House:
“Maloney and Raskin Seek Information on Trump Organization’s Request for Coronavirus Funding from the United Kingdom
May 7, 2020 Press Release
Washington, D.C. (May 7, 2020)—Today, Rep. Carolyn B. Maloney, the Chairwoman of the Committee on Oversight and Reform, and Rep. Jamie Raskin, the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, sent a letter [1] to Eric Trump, the Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization and son of U.S. President Donald J. Trump, seeking information on the Trump Organization’s recent request for financial benefits from domestic and foreign government entities during the wake of the coronavirus crisis.
“The Emoluments Clauses of the United States Constitution are intended to promote the complete and undivided loyalty of the President to the American people,” the Chairs wrote.
After Congress passed legislation [2] prohibiting U.S. taxpayer funds from being used to benefit companies in which President Trump holds a stake, recent reports [3] indicated that the Trump Organization had turned to foreign governments to seek financial assistance for the President’s companies.
Eric Trump confirmed [4] that the President’s companies are now seeking financial assistance directly from the British government.
“Apart from the grave Emoluments Clause problems your actions cause in the United States, officials in the United Kingdom have raised serious concerns about using their own taxpayer funds to bail out President Trump’s companies,” the Chairs wrote.
For example, Martin Ford, a councilor in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, where one of the President’s two Scottish luxury properties is located, stated [5], “The huge tab for this will be borne throughout the whole population through higher taxes.” He added,
“If what he says about his personal wealth is true, Trump doesn’t need the money, and I don’t see why U.K. taxpayers of the future should be helping him out.”
The Chairs request documents detailing this new request for financial assistance by May 21, 2020.

“Yes, Trump Hotels Do Appear to Qualify for Coronavirus Bailout Benefits. President Donald Trump’s hotels in D.C., New York and Chicago all seem to qualify for benefits from the coronavirus bailout. Trump Mother, Mary Anne MacLeod, arrival from Scotland in 1930 as Domestic Maid. His Aunt was apparently already in the USA. The United States functioned as Europe’s birth control prior to widespread availability of legal, safe and effective birth control. The United States continues to act as birth control for the rest of the world, who refuse to control population excess, to the detriment of its environment and its citizens, who need jobs, too. The real translation for “seeking a better life” is “on the make”. Prior to the American Revolution, the United States functioned as a prison for white British, Irish, (and French), as well as using African slave labor. Neither of these groups came “seeking a better life”, they were forced to come.
