Leanid Kulakou Arrested For 10 Days

The European Belarus activist will celebrate the New Year in Akrestsina.

European Belarus activist Leanid Kulakou has been sentenced to 10 days’ arrest for participating in the rally against “deeper integration,” which took place in Minsk on December 8.

A protocol under Part 1 Article 23.34 of the Administrative Code was drawn up against the activist. The sentence was delivered by Judge Leikouskaya, spring96.org reports.

Leanid Kulakou told human rights activists that after his detention, the policemen took him to the Partysanski district police department, where they drew up a report for participating in the rally against integration with Russia on December 20. Today, there supposed to be a trial for taking part in the rallies on December 7 and 8.

The European Belarus activist will celebrate the New Year in Akrestsina, just like the civil campaign leaders Yauhen Afnahel and Maksim Viniarski, and BCD co-chairman Pavel Seviarynets. https://charter97.org/en/news/2019/12/27/360375/

The activist of European Belarus awaits three trials at once.

In the morning of December 27, the riot police detained Leanid Kulakou, the activist of European Belarus.

People in civilian clothes seized the activist near the court of Pershamaiski district and took him in a blue minibus to Partisanski police department. They drew up a protocol for participation in the action against integration with Russia held on December 20. Today, Pershamaiski district court of Minsk was to hold two trials against the activist accused of violating Para 3 Art. 23.34 of the Administrative Code of Belarus for participation in the rallies of December 7 and 8.
