If the Democratic party wants to have any hope of winning nationally, they need to hurry up and find someone like Jim Hood, who addresses the sorts of issues that matter to the average American. Concerns addressed by Jim Hood include keeping rural hospitals open; raising teacher’s pay; cutting the sales tax on groceries; repairing roads and bridges; transparency in government; fighting corruption.
While Mississippi suffered from numerous bridge closures, Lt. Governor Tate Reeves apparently plotted to construct a $2 million road project between his own gated community and a nearby shopping center.

Trump, Trump Jr., and Pence appear anxious to get another member of the Haley Barbour machine, Tate Reeves, into power. Perhaps to help cover up the corruption that Jim Hood might otherwise expose? https://miningawareness.wordpress.com/2019/08/05/political-operatives-lobbyists-foreign-agents-fara-vs-transparency-in-the-mississippi-governors-race/
Had William Waller, Jr. won the Republican primary, then America would have had a chance to see two candidates with concern for citizens, while differing on policy solutions, which is what politics should look like.
With Tate Reeves, as with Cindy Hyde-Smith, one has the total destruction of politics, and an embarrassing fawning over Trump. Politics is supposed to be about citizens and policy. Running on their love of Trump; hanging onto Trump’s shirttail and acting like hapless, fawning, dolls, is not politics, but the destruction thereof. It is also what the Bible calls idolatry.
The following are 30 to 31 second videos from Jim Hood’s youtube channel. The titles in quotes are the original. The other title-summaries are our own:

Jim Hood Talks Keeping Rural Hospitals open

He remarks that doctors don’t take pay in chickens anymore. No doubt this is a true story because preachers were sometimes paid in chickens, too, in rural America.

Keeping rural hospitals open is an emergency

As William Waller, who ran against Tate Reeves in the Republican primary, explained it: expanding medicaid coverage helps incentivize people to work. Under the current system, people fare better by working less, because they are eligible for medicaid, food stamps, subsidized housing, etc. Yet, if they work full time, they often cannot afford these things at the market price.
JIM HOOD TALKS REAL LIFE ISSUES; “FIGHTING FOR WORKING FOLKS”
Jim Hood proposes statewide preschool; raising teacher’s pay; saving rural hospitals and expanding healthcare to cover working folks without raising taxes; cutting sales tax on groceries; fighting for working families

Tate Reeves chauffered around to fundraising in a state-owned SUV. Jim Hood calls for better schools, affordable healthcare, fixing roads and bridges, working with both parties to get things done.

Tate Reeves costing taxpayers over $400,000, reports the video: A state limo, a state plane, a taxpayer paid junket to a rock concert and Mardi Gras. Reeves “required a state trooper to guard him on a Louisiana fishing boat at taxpayer expense“. Jim Hood says that state troopers need to guard the citizens of the state.
Jim Hood as AG fought State Farm Insurance after Hurricane Katrina, fought BP after the oil spill, will fight Army Corps (apparently over Army Corps failing to open the Morganza spillway and sending more water through the Bonnet Carre instead.)
