There may be another attempt to ram through S386 without debate on Thursday (17th). Durbin who has put a block on S386 (citing lack of diversity) proposes an even worse RELIEF Act for immigrants. #Stop S386 & the “RELIEF” Act. If the immigrant line is constipated it means they should go home. Let’s be clear – these economic migrants have homes. They are not refugees nor in need of asylum. Many Americans don’t have the right of return. People from India can return home for 4 generations. The US MUST STOP GIVING AFFIRMATIVE ACTION-MINORITY CONTRACT SET ASIDES TO IMMIGRANTS. THE IMMIGRATION BACKLOG WOULD GET SOME RELIEF REALLY FAST. Minority contract set-asides is surely why so many are doing MBAs. Also they must be required to have and maintain nursing home insurance AND health insurance from the moment of their arrival.
People from India and other foreigners are making their voices be heard on very important proposed changes to US immigration policy. Are you? Americans call your US Senators ASAP to oppose S386 and any similar or related bills. Oppose both the removal of the per country green card cap AND any expansion in green card numbers. Public hearings and debate are needed.
