Attorney Antonio Moore, whose parents are from Mississippi and Alabama, summarizes the problem of Kamala Harris trying to appropriate the African American experience in “Kamala Harris & the Debates: The Real Discussion“.
CNN’s Don Lemon, who was born and raised in Baton Rouge Louisiana, also explains that African American descendants of slaves have a different history. He has trouble making himself heard. There are none so deaf as those who will not hear: https://youtu.be/RUpwo3bjZg8
Kamala Harris may be a Manchurian candidate. She called her uncle a journalist-mathematician whereas he works for an Institute funded by India’s Ministry of Defence: https://miningawareness.wordpress.com/2019/05/06/kamala-harris-uncle-works-for-think-tank-funded-by-indias-ministry-of-defence-advises-india-on-nuclear-matters/
Kamala Harris’ mother was Tamil Brahmin from India, which is currently classified as “Asian” and “Asian-Indian”. Her mother came willingly to the United States as a student, as did her father.

Note: Kamala Harris’ Westmount “High School” starts as grade 7 (11 years old). So, to call it High School, in a US context is misleading.
An easy and free start for reparations is to make affirmative action-minority contract set-asides only for African American descendants of slaves, as originally intended. Additionally a MBE (Minority Business Enterprise) should be 100% owned by and controlled by African Americans and not 51%. This actually saves the US government money and can be done immediately while reparations are being studied and debated.
“A Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) is an American term which is defined as a business which is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled on a daily basis by one or more (in combination) American citizens of the following ethnic minority and/or gender (e.g. woman-owned) and/or military veteran classifications:
1. African American
2. Asian American (includes West Asian Americans (India, etc.) and East Asian Americans (Japan, Korea, etc.))
3. Hispanic American – Persons with origins from Latin America, South America, Portugal and Spain.(SBA.gov)
4. Native American including Aleuts
5. Service-Disabled Veteran Owned aka SDVBE, aka DVBE* which became a federally certified classification in 1999, subsequent to the passage legislation by the United States Congress through the enactment of The Veterans Entrepreneurship and Small Business Act of 1999 (The Act); legislation that was further expanded by Congress in 2001.**
According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, minorities own more than 4.1 million firms, and account for nearly $700 billion in revenues.
MBE’s can be self-identified but are typically certified by a city, state or federal agency. DiversityBusiness.com is the primary organization for connecting businesses with Fortune 1000, Government Agencies and Educational organizations.
“Some minority groups are presumed to be socially and economically disadvantaged and can qualify for the 8(a) program. These groups include: African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, Asian Pacific Americans and Subcontinent Asian Americans. Individuals who are not members of one or more of these groups can be considered for the 8(a) program, but they must provide substantial evidence and documentation that demonstrates that they have been subjected to bias or discrimination and are economically disadvantaged. Firms owned by Alaska Native Corporations, Indian Tribes, Native Hawaiian Organizations and Community Development Corporations can also apply to the program.”
Don Lemon, and others, are missing an important point about Latinos: the child of a German planter born in Latin America, and an Italian or Irishman born in Latin America are all “hispanic”, and get minority status in the USA, whereas a German-American and an Italian or Irish American are “white”, and get no minority status in the USA. Mitt Romney could claim hispanic status, as well. The indigenous peoples of Latin America are often not “hispanic”, because they don’t speak Spanish. Thus, the concept of “hispanic” is very misleading and problematic. Kamala Harris’ Jamaican heritage may be Asian-Indian, as well. Regardless, the history is different. And, Jamaica was a colony of Britain up until recently. Anything owed to former slaves is owed by the British.
