Strange that no one is asking what the true motive of this emergency declaration, and appear to be taking it at face value as relating to a campaign promise. Clearly there is another agenda and likely multiple other agendas. Is this a formal coup d’etat? Today, it will also function as a diversion to “Mueller’s team to file sentencing recommendation on Manafort in Virginia case” as reported by CNN, February 15, 2019. That’s a filing to watch.

We MUST fight lies with truth.
Most deadly drugs crossing border DO go through legal ports of entry…
Undocumented border crossings are at *near historic* lows.
There IS no emergency.

TRUMP: “I want to do it faster. I could do the wall over a longer period of time. I didn’t need to do this. But I’d rather do it much faster.”
FACT: You just undercut your entire argument for declaring a national emergency.

Illegals can tunnel under a wall, but the approximately 1 million per year of legal permanent resident immigrants don’t have to bother to tunnel under. The Trump Admin gave out over 3,000 immigrant legal permanent resident “Green” cards PER DAY in 2017; Over 1.1 Million total in 2017.

To put this in context, Dallas, Texas is the 9th largest city in the United States and has a population of 1,341,075.

Greencards easily turn into citizenship and so the insane numbers of new US citizens per year will continue, or again worsen, if nothing is changed. Each new citizen dilutes democracy, too, because each vote is of less value.

Even if a wall were effective, it is futile with such huge numbers being let in legally. The USA is already filled up with Americans, many of whom have no right to return to their place of origin.

The  graph, above, shows numbers becoming US citizens are a flood without historical precedent. It is environmentally unsustainable and unfair to Americans. Pelosi, Schumer Joint Statement on the President’s Unlawful Emergency Declaration FEBRUARY 15, 2019 Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer released this joint statement on President Trump declaring a national emergency:

“The President’s unlawful declaration over a crisis that does not exist does great violence to our Constitution and makes America less safe, stealing from urgently needed defense funds for the security of our military and our nation.  This is plainly a power grab by a disappointed President, who has gone outside the bounds of the law to try to get what he failed to achieve in the constitutional legislative process.

“The President’s actions clearly violate the Congress’s exclusive power of the purse, which our Founders enshrined in the Constitution.  The Congress will defend our constitutional authorities in the Congress, in the Courts, and in the public, using every remedy available.

“This issue transcends partisan politics and goes to the core of the Founders’ conception for America, which commands Congress to limit an overreaching executive.  The President’s emergency declaration, if unchecked, would fundamentally alter the balance of powers, inconsistent with our Founders’ vision.

“We call upon our Republican colleagues to join us to defend the Constitution.  Just as both parties honored our oath to protect the American people by passing the conference committee bill, the Congress on a bipartisan basis must honor the Constitution by defending our system of checks and balances.

“The President is not above the law. The Congress cannot let the President shred the Constitution.” https://www.speaker.gov/newsroom/21519/

The closed society of Trumpistan, aka Mississippi, got its own separate state of the emergency, yesterday, which while sounding routine may or may not be, considering the apparent connection of the Mississippi Governor and other Mississippians (i.e. BGR Group) to the Trump Russia affair.
