2018 US Senate elections, Flagler, Flagler museum, Florida, Koch, Koch Brothers, Mar-a-Lago, Mississippi, Palm Beach, PM Shinzo Abe, Robert V. Matthews, Rockefeller, Roger Wicker, Standard Oil, Trump, Trump Palm Beach Property, Wicker, William M. Matthews
Republican Senator Wicker of Mississippi’s largest donor is a Palm Beach Florida Investor, William M. Matthews, who descends from Henry Flagler, one of the founders of Standard Oil, founder of the Florida East Coast Railway, and “father of Miami and Palm Beach, Florida“. The better known co-founder of Standard Oil is John D. Rockefeller. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Flagler
Not only is Matthews Wicker’s largest donor; Wicker is Matthews’ largest campaign donation, which is frankly weird. By today’s standards $50,000 is cheap for a US Senate seat, but Mississippi is poor and is for sale for cheap, it seems. Matthews’ third largest campaign contribution is to a Koch related PAC. Two of the Koch brothers also live on Palm Beach (which is a barrier island). At least one of the Koch brothers is a member of Trump’s Mar a Lago club.
What does Matthews want? To protect Trump, who has a home (Mar a Lago club) in Palm Beach? Is he friends with Trump? A member of his club? We can’t even speculate based on the nature of Matthews’ investments, because we haven’t found what they are.
The address given on Matthews’ campaign donation, along with the location of Mar a Lago.
Wicker serves on the US Senate Committee on Armed Services; Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation. Committee on Environment and Public Works; Committee on Rules and Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe.
Is William Matthews kin to the Robert V. Matthews who is in trouble with the justice department, securities and exchange committee, etc., and who also lives nearby on Palm Beach?
Last April, while Trump and Japanese PM Shinzo Abe golfed and talked, Melania Trump and Mrs. Abe visited the Flagler museum, which was the winter home of Henry Flagler. Flagler’s great-grandson, William Matthews, who serves on the Flagler Museum Board of Trustees as Treasurer, helped guide the ladies. We were unable to ascertain if Robert V. Matthews, who owns a house nearby William M. Matthews, is kin to him-the Flagler Matthews, or not. Isaac Singer had an illegitimate son who used the name of Matthews. Whether or not either of these two Matthews is kin to Isaac Singer remains a mystery to us, as well.
