Paul Manafort has lived/had a residence in Trump Tower since 2006. Bloomberg says that it was in the name of a limited liability company and was only put in Manafort’s name in 2015. Russian oligarch Deripaska was rumored to have bought it for him. Trump mentor and lawyer, as well as mafia lawyer, Roy Cohn, who had run McCarthy’s witch-hunt in the 50s, introduced Roger Stone to Trump – decades ago. And, either Cohn or Roger Stone introduced Paul Manafort to Trump. Stone used to have a lobbying firm with former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort.

Manafort, was mentored by James A. Baker III. Paul Manafort ran Reagan’s Southern operation, which trafficked in language tied to racism/desegregation – busing, state’s rights, etc., and which he nastily started in Philadelphia Mississippi where Civil Rights activists had been murdered in 1964.

Stone and Manafort ran Reagan’s transition team. One of the nasties that their PR firm elected was Phil Gramm. Trump became a client of Stone and Manafort’s firm. Trump wanted to go after Native American gaming, which he felt were rivals to his Atlantic City casinos and he did. Trump and Stone were behind a front group named the New York Institute for Law and Society and were fined $250,000 and required to publicly apologize for attack ads subsequent to an investigation by then Governor George Pataki.

Manafort spent almost a decade traveling to the Ukraine working for and with (pro-Russian) Viktor Yanukovych. Manafort and Stone’s lobbying firm Black, Manafort, Stone and Kelly advised dictators such as the Philippines’ Marcos and Zaire’s (now DRC) Mobutu and guerrilla leader Jonas Savimbi, trying to make them more palatable to Congress to obtain funding. Manafort was contacted to help Yanukovych in 2005 by Ukrainian oligarch Rinat Ahmetov. Ahmetov was from Donetsk.
