On page 9 of Trump’s “charitable giving”, we find that Trump gave $5,000 to “The American Spectator Foundation” on May 27, 2015, after having given $10,000 to “Project Veritas” on May 13, 2015: https://www.washingtonpost.com/apps/g/page/politics/a-94-page-list-of-donald-trumps-charitable-contributions-from-the-last-five-years/2013/?tid=a_inl https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/a-portrait-of-trump-the-donor-free-rounds-of-golf-but-no-personal-cash/2016/04/10/373b9b92-fb40-11e5-9140-e61d062438bb_story.html. He officially started his campaign on June 16, 2015. (Almost 5 years earlier, on October 12, 2010, Trump gave $10,000 to the William J. Clinton Foundation – back in the day when the Clintons and Trumps were buddies. )

Trivia? The foundation of the Koch empire came from Koch’s father doing business with Stalin in Russia – see from the FBI file, below.

$73,879 from Koch foundations, 1997-2015

The American Spectator is a part of conservative media network with clear Koch influence and serves as a reliable platform for attacks on the scientific consensus of global warming and policy solutions to averting catastrophic climate change. The American Spectator, which receives money from Koch Brother foundations through its associated Foundation, is a regular platform for career climate science deniers such as Paul Chesser and Chris Horner of the Competitive Enterprise Institute and American Tradition Institute (see more on Chesser and Horner in DeSmogBlog’s database).

The American Spectator has criticized Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney for his recognition of global warming  and defended the Heartland Institute after a leak of its internal documents detailed how its climate denial campaign is being financed.” See additional information and original post here: http://www.greenpeace.org/usa/global-warming/climate-deniers/front-groups/american-spectator-foundation/
