Admit nothing, deny everything, launch counterattack,“is Roger Stone’s philosophy.[1]

Sound familiar? Deja-vu all over again for a reason. In fact, this blogger only found out about Stone by doing a search based on Trump’s behavior: deny and counterattack. Stone started his official dirty tricks career under Richard Nixon, which is why those who covered Watergate find it so familiar. Stone tried to get Trump to run as early as 1999. Stone was first an official and then a shadow advisor to Trump in the 2016 Presidential campaign. https://miningawareness.wordpress.com/2017/03/09/the-evil-trio-from-mccarthy-to-trump-via-watergate-reagan-bush-cohn-stone-manafort/

26 September 2017:
Representative Adam Schiff on Roger Stone Interview House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Adam Schiff (D-CA) made a brief statement to reporters following the committee’s interview of Roger Stone, the former campaign adviser to President Trump. Representative Schiff said Mr. Stone refused to answer questions about one specific area of interest to the committee, but declined to answer questions on what exactly that area was“.

I WANTED TO MAKE A QUICK STATEMENT. THERE WAS ONE SIGNIFICANT AREA OF GENERAL IMPORTANCE THAT THE COMMITTEE AND MR. STONE WAS UNWILLING TO ANSWER OUR QUESTIONS. WE HOPE HE WILL COOPERATE IN THE FUTURE, IF NOT, IT WILL BE NECESSARY TO SUBPOENA HIM TO ANSWER THOSE IMPORTANT QUESTIONS.

The adviser, Roger J. Stone Jr., also said he told the House Intelligence Committee that he had not colluded with Russians or seen any collusion by Trump associates. …  “There was one significant area of seminal importance to the committee that Mr. Stone was unwilling to answer our questions,” said Representative Adam B. Schiff, the top Democrat on the committee. “We hope that he will cooperate in the future. If not, it will be necessary to subpoena him to bring him back to answer those important questions.https://www.nytimes.com/2017/09/26/us/politics/roger-stone-testimony-paul-manafort.html

In an MSNBC interview Schiff explains the importance of Roger Stone:
-he worked on the Trump campaign; he encouraged the hiring of Paul Manafort as Trump campaign manager; even after he left the campaign he has acknowledged that he remained in contact with Trump and was in touch with Russian intel (Guccifer 2) through a non-public channel, and with Wikileaks. Sometimes he said that he was in direct contact with Julian Assange, sometimes through an intermediary. If there was an intermediary they want the name. See the interview here, posted 27 Sept 17: http://youtu.be/W7EvVhilsgI

Stone reportedly has a friend in London who was in contact with Julian Assange of Wikileaks. Thus, the timing of the latest Wikileaks dump, in conjunction with Trump’s counterattack tweet, should truly come as no surprise.

The Miami Herald reported Roger Stone’s connection to Assange, “Donald Trump ally Roger Stone admits ‘back-channel’ tie to WikiLeaks“, Oct 12, 2016, based on a CBS Miami local interview. Stone’s tweet tells a lot about his character!
