On June 7th 1826 the second US President and founding father, John Adams, presciently called “the Independence of these United States. A Memorable epoch in the annals of the human race; destined, in future history, to form the brightest or the blackest page, according to the use or the abuse of those political institutions by which they shall, in time to come, be Shaped, by the human mind.” https://founders.archives.gov/documents/Adams/99-02-02-8023

Not surprisingly, Trump prefers former President Andrew Jackson. Jackson claimed to represent the “common man”, but used a spoils system (patronage and nepotism) like Trump, rather than basing appointments on merit (meritocracy.) While the US hasn’t shown itself much of a meritocracy for some time, Trump has taken the “spoils system” to a whole new level.

In memoriam–our civil service as it was, a political cartoon by Thomas Nast showing statue of Andrew Jackson on a pig, which is over “fraud”, “bribery”, and “spoils”, eating “plunder”. Featured in Harper’s Weeklyon 28 April 1877, p. 325.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spoils_system
Is this why Trump loves Andrew Jackson?

Besides Trump, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov and Pence’s Rabbit, who have we in these photos? Andrew Jackson, whose “presidency marked the beginning of the ascendancy of the “spoils system” in American politics.” Jackson apparently sold the US back to the UK, as well: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Jackson

Instead of Russian Ambassdor Kislyak – called a “chief spy” by some – who was there, there is VP Mike Pence’s rabbit in the Whitehouse flickr photo group.

VP Pence’s brother Ed appears deeply dependent upon Russia for some time – from 2005 as VP and General Manager of The Heavy Duty Engine Business of Cummins and since Feb 1, 2013 as VP and General Manager of High Horsepower Engine Business of Cummins. Pence became Governor of Indiana in Jan. 2013. Cummins VP Pence is the probable reason that US VP Pence ignored Congressman Cummings warnings about Flynn and Russia. It provides motive.

Does Pence’s rabbit represent Kislyak? There are surely many layers of symbolism.

About Russian Secret Police Agent “The Rabbit”, Stalin and Putin: “Yet the truth is more bizarre still, for this other family became the most trusted part of Stalin’s court right up until the 1940s. Indeed, his possible half-brother became his NKVD [secret police] food taster nicknamed “the Rabbit”…. Among the Rabbit’s staff at Stalin’s villas was an experienced and trusted cook who rather extraordinarily had served Rasputin and Lenin, and now cooked for Stalin, too. This was President Vladimir Putin’s grandfather.“, excerpted from “Stalin, his father and the Rabbit: The bizarre story of Stalin, his possible biological father, his food taster – and the connection of” BY SIMON SEBAG MONTEFIORE, 6 SEPTEMBER 2007, The New Statesman . com. The Rabbit” was Sasha Egnatashvili. Unmentioned in the article is that both Stalin and Lenin were likely poisoned to death. Litvinenko believed that Putin had him poisoned: “In full: Litvinenko statement, Friday, 24 November 2006, http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/6180262.stm

The People’s Commissariat for Internal Affairs (Народный комиссариат внутренних дел, Narodnyi Komissariat Vnutrennikh Del), abbreviated NKVD (НКВД was the leading Soviet secret police organization from 1934 to 1946. It is known for its political repression and conduction of the Great Purge under Joseph Stalin.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NKVD

The KGB Makes a Bear Admit to Being A Rabbit in an Old Joke
Russian joke: “The KGB, the GIGN (or in some versions of the joke, the FBI) and the CIA are all trying to prove they are the best at catching criminals. The Secretary General of the UN decides to set them a test. He releases a rabbit into a forest, and each of them has to catch it. The CIA people go in. They place animal informants throughout the forest. They question all plant and mineral witnesses. After three months of extensive investigations, they conclude that the rabbit does not exist. The GIGN (or FBI) goes in. After two weeks with no leads they burn the forest, killing everything in it, including the rabbit, and make no apologies: the rabbit had it coming. The KGB goes in. They come out two hours later with a badly beaten bear. The bear is yelling: “Okay! Okay! I’m a rabbit! I’m a rabbit!https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_political_jokes

After the dissolution of the USSR, the KGB was split into the Federal Security Service and the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KGB

From around age 23 to 38 Putin was in the KGB:
In 1975, Putin joined the KGB, and trained at the 401st KGB school in Okhta, Leningrad.[26][39]After training, he worked in the Second Chief Directorate (counter-intelligence), before he was transferred to the First Chief Directorate, where he monitored foreigners and consular officials in Leningrad.[26][40][41] From 1985 to 1990, he served in Dresden, East Germany,[42] using a cover identity as a translator.[43]https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vladimir_Putin#KGB_career

SVR RF actively recruits Russian citizens who live in foreign countries. “Once the SVR officer targets a Russian émigré for recruitment, they approach them, usually at their place of residence and make an effort to reach an understanding,” said former FSB officer Aleksander Litvinenko.[18] “If he or she refuses, the intelligence officer then threatens the would-be recruit with legal prosecution in Russia, and if the person continues to refuse, the charges are fabricated”. It was reported that SVR prey on successful Russian businessmen abroad and a close number of foreigners swearing allegiance upon pain of death.[18]https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foreign_Intelligence_Service_(Russia) Even on his deathbed, Litvinenko claimed that Putin had him poisoned with polonium.

Did Jackson sell the US back to the UK? It sounds like it: “In foreign affairs, Jackson’s administration concluded a “most favored nation” treaty with Great Britain, settled U.S. claims of damages by France from the Napoleonic Wars, and recognized the Republic of Texas. His presidency marked the beginning of the ascendancy of the “spoils system” in American politics. In 1830, Jackson signed the Indian Removal Act, which relocated most members of the Native American tribes in the South to Indian Territory (now Oklahoma). The relocation process dispossessed the Indians and resulted in widespread death and sickness. In his retirement, Jackson remained active in Democratic Party politics, supporting the presidencies of Martin Van Buren and James K. Polk./ Jackson was widely revered in the United States, but his reputation has declined since the mid-20th century, largely due to his role in Indian removal and support for slavery.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Jackson
