“Roman Abramovich building Israeli residence
16:55 / 31.03.2017
Two years ago, Roman Abramovich closed his first deal related to Israeli real estate. The oligarch bought The Varsano hotel in a prestigious neighborhood of Tel Aviv for $25 million.
According to the Israeli newspaper Globes, the design of Abramovich’s Israeli residence on the hotel’s official website will begin in soon.
In late March, Abramovich rented a house in Neve Tzedek district with a total area of 300 square meters. According to media reports, the house is supposed to accommodate the designers of the businessman’s new residence.
The house with four bedrooms, a gym and a living room is in walking distance from the land plot of 1.5 thousand square meters purchased by Abramovich together with a one-story hotel complex in April 2015.
According to Globes, the billionaire needs a Tel Aviv residence for his short visits, since his business is expanding its ties with Israel.
The businessman permanently resides in London, and has been investing a lot in Israeli tech start-ups through his Norma Investments, Ervington Investments, and Millhouse recently.
He owns 16% of Shellanoo Group, the Israeli developer of mobile applications and online services, major shares in the social platform Spot.IM and medical DreaMed Diabetes, the music startup Music Messenger, video marketing company AnyClip Media and crowd investing network iAngels.
Roman Abramovich’s investment projects in Israel include the startups StoreDot, MelCap, Via and AcousticEye and the Russian-Israeli telemedicine service Medviser, where the billionaire invested half a million dollars.” https://en.crimerussia.com/oligarchs/roman-abramovich-building-israel-residence-/
