“Press Secretary Sean Spicer excoriates press during press conference then leaves without taking questions Tweeted by Derek Caney of Reuters, Jan 21, 2017
In case people need this Trump quote (or interview) for future reference:
“… I personally think it’s the biggest problem the world has, nuclear capability. I think it’s the single biggest problem. When people talk global warming, I say the global warming that we have to be careful of is the nuclear global warming. Single biggest problem that the world has. Power of weaponry today is beyond anything ever thought of, or even, you know, it’s unthinkable, the power. You look at Hiroshima and you can multiply that times many, many times, is what you have today. And to me, it’s the single biggest, it’s the single biggest problem.” Entire interview here:
Note that Trump appears to be searching for excuses to let Russia keep Crimea. First it’s “Trump suggested he might do away with the sanctions – imposed by the Obama administration in late December in response to Moscow’s alleged cyber attacks – if Moscow proves helpful in battling terrorists and reaching other goals important to Washington,…” (Reuters 14 Jan. 2017) and then it’s “Trump’s offer to Putin: an end to sanctions for nuclear arms cut – London Times” (Reuters, 15 Jan 2017). The first may be for the more recent sanctions and the second to get rid of all sanctions.
The bottom line seems to be that he wants to let Russian government owned Rosneft and ExxonMobil continue with their plans to create a mega-cartel.
