This may not be the “proper” email address but it seems appropriate, as it is the nuclear waste disposal committee. You may also want to contact the German Embassy or consulate. Some ideas for a few German words to give a hint at the content (most or all can be English), see here: https://miningawareness.wordpress.com/2014/06/25/germanys-idea-of-technology-innovation-dump-its-nuclear-waste-on-non-germans/
Note that URENCO is 1/3rd owned by German corporations (the other 2/3rds being the UK and Dutch governments). URENCO is currently the ONLY company enriching uranium for fuel in the USA. URENCO has around 30% of the world market for enrichment. (A state-owned Russian co. has about 1/2 of the enrichment market). This hardly constitutes German industry leaving nuclear. On the contrary, they enrich 10% of uranium for the nuclear power industry world-wide. Let’s not confuse current German government policy – intent to leave nuclear, not yet done, with corporate policy. Additionally, intent to leave nuclear does not give a license to dump on others. Germany needs to grow up!

This was just pointed out to us. There are concerns regarding approval of this new AREVA storage system by the NRC. These appear both procedural and technical. This is a very important topic and, as such, there should have been more notice and discussion. Correction, it seems that formal complaints needed to be before 15 May. They may still take comments, but it is doubtful. Apparent Contact Information: Annette Vietti-Cook, Secretary NRC, Annette.Vietti-Cook@nrc.gov
The direct final rule is effective June 30, 2014, unless significant adverse comments are received by May 15, 2014. If the direct final rule is withdrawn as a result of such comments, timely notice of the withdrawal will be published in the Federal Register. Comments received after this date will be considered if it is practical to do so, but the NRC staff is able to ensure consideration only for comments received on or before this date.” Federal Register Notice: https://www.federalregister.gov/articles/2014/04/15/2014-08346/list-of-approved-spent-fuel-storage-casks-transnuclear-inc-standardized-advanced-nuhoms-horizontal

The NRC suggests that if commenters raise significant enough concerns about the Direct Rule, it may be appropriate to provide a second opportunity for comment on the Direct Rule. 79 Fed. Reg. at 21,112. Given the serious substantive and procedural defects in the Direct Rule, such a remedy is the minimum response required, although it would be grossly insufficient.” (from letter below) http://mothersforpeace.org/data/archive/2014-05-15-comments-on-direct-rule-re-list-of-approved-storage-casks

2014-05-15 Comments on Direct Rule re List of Approved Storage Casks
Request for Rescission of the Direct Rule, and Request for Publication of a New and Revised Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, Docket No. 13-0271, May 15, 2014
Excerpt: “
The Direct Rule flagrantly violates the requirements of the Atomic Energy Act and the Administrative Procedure Act for prior notice and opportunity for public participation in NRC decisions affecting public safety and the environment. Citizens Awareness Network v. NRC, 59 F.3d 284 (1st Cir. 1995). Equally troubling, the notice is grossly misleading, and appears designed to lull the public into a false sense of confidence.” Read the rest here: http://mothersforpeace.org/data/archive/2014-05-15-comments-on-direct-rule-re-list-of-approved-storage-casks

Additional letters: It may not be too late on the State Level, as one of these letters suggests: https://sanonofresafety.files.wordpress.com/2011/11/cpuc-drystoragecanisters2014-06-16a1.pdf https://sanonofresafety.files.wordpress.com/2013/06/2014-05-15-comment-letter-to-nrc-re-nuhoms-cask-approval-corrected-2014-05-27.pdf

While this appears a complex topic, and we have had no time to examine the matter, from what we have seen of AREVA, if it’s AREVA it probably is not good. Furthermore, we have nothing but procedural complaints about the NRC, FDA and EPA, because we believe that citizens should receive notice in their mailboxes about some of these topics – especially the ones regarding radionuclides in food (FDA) and the radionuclide emissions (EPA). Furthermore, it is also not clear why the US cannot make its own storage systems.

Note that someone has written with concerns that our call to boycott German heavy industry is wrong because Germany is trying to get out of nuclear. We believe that the opposite is true – heavy industry appears to be trying to undermine the German Renewable policy by refusing to pay its fair share of green tax, when it is the largest energy user, and two German companies are suing the German govt. over closure of their nuclear power plants. We feel that all of these points have been laid out, at length, within the Ongoing Saga series and new posts – many or most below, within this post. The nuclear industry in Germany, unlike France, Russia and Sweden, is not state-owned. Thus, boycott of German heavy industry (e.g. cars) and chemical products (e.g. BASF) is not boycotting German green policy, on the contrary.
The person also felt that thicker iron German nuclear waste canisters were better than the thinner ones being approved for use in the USA. This may or may not be so. We have not found the information details and have no time to examine it if we did, but must point out that the quality of the storage container is more important than thickness. For the space age the US invented thin, resilient metal alloys. And, a thinner, higher quality alloy can be more resistant than a thicker less or non-resistant material (e.g. iron). The focus of waste storage needs to be the development of new resistant, non-corrosive, non-reactive materials. We also continue to dislike the idea of above ground, on site, storage canisters near nuclear power plants, because they probably will leak and no one will check or replace them. Nuclear Power plants are rarely near wealthy people. However, due to the risks of transportation, no plans to permanently monitor waste in centralized storage (all plan to seal them up), etc., we are coming around to thinking that above ground canisters may be the only solution, until and if new storage materials are developed and until there is a will to permanently monitor the waste in a deep depository. Everyone can stop making nuclear waste today and it is not going anywhere for millions of years. But, if we stop today there will be less to deal with. And, choosing to exit nuclear is not a license to dump your waste on others. Note, as well, that Germany has not yet exited nuclear. Germany gave the world the nuclear age. It is their baby. They need to own it and not dump it on others! (Really everyone should keep nuclear waste, proportionate to their energy use, in a vault in their own homes. How many would be pro-nuclear energy then?) We think that Germany should come up with new innovations to solve the waste problem and not simply export their waste onto others with lower, or no, environmental standards. With US EPA Standards coming up for comment at the beginning of August, Americans need to get with it, because continued weak, or weaker, standards will only lead to more radioactive waste dumping or attempted dumped by other countries. There is also the possibility of strengthening standards at the state level, if it fails at the Federal level.

Over €700,000 (1 million US dollars) BMW Donation to German Chancellor Merkel Party

Pretty shocking! Since Germany has about one quarter of the US population, this is probably like 4 million US dollars. The amounts that we have complained about corporations giving to Obama and various US Senators are a tiny pittance in comparison. However, the now defunct Harold Simmons; Sheldon Adelson and Bob J. Perry seem to have well exceeded $4 million during the 2012 US elections:
Bought by BMW? German Chancellor Angela Merkel forced on to defensive over €700,000 donation from carmaker to her Christian Democratic Party TONY PATERSON BERLIN Wednesday 16 October 2013http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/bought-by-bmw-german-chancellor-angela-merkel-forced-on-to-defensive-over-700000-donation-from-carmaker-to-her-christian-democratic-party-8884777.html

Merkel’s Patrons: Donation from BMW Owners Raises Eyebrows: Just weeks after the German election, Angela Merkel’s conservatives received donations totalling 690,000 euros from the family that owns almost half of BMW. The payment coincides with Berlin’s forceful intervention to halt tough new CO2 curbs for carmakers in the EU.http://www.spiegel.de/international/europe/cdu-gets-donation-from-bmw-owners-during-co2-talks-a-927954.html

One can only hope that India’s Nuclear Power Plants are better built and monitored than some other buildings, and that the new ones won’t be built:

Nuclear power is the fourth-largest source of electricity in India after thermal, hydroelectric and renewable sources of electricity. As of 2012, India has 20 nuclear reactors in operation in six nuclear power plants, having an installed capacity of 4780 MW and producing a total of 29,664.75 GWh of electricity while seven other reactors are under construction and are expected to generate an additional 6,100 MW.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_power_in_India

Estimating Illicit Flows of Capital via Trade Mispricing: A Forensic Analysis of Data on Switzerland, Working Paper 350 January 2014, by Alex Cobham with Petr Janský and Alex Prats, Center for Global Development, http://www.cgdev.org
This paper assesses the role of Switzerland, as the leading hub for global commodities trading, in terms of the patterns of prices received by original exporting countries and subsequently by Switzerland and other jurisdictions. We find support for the hypotheses that (i) the average prices for commodity exports from developing countries to Switzerland are lower than those to other jurisdictions; and that (ii) Switzerland declares higher (re-)export prices for those commodities than do other jurisdictions. This pattern implies a potential capital loss for commodity exporting developing countries, and we provide a range of estimates of that loss – each of which suggests the scale is substantial (the most conservative is around $8 billion a year) and that the issue merits greater research and policy attention. An important first step would be a Swiss commitment to meet international norms of trade transparency.

Did some African gold vanish into the Vatican Bank too?

The Israelis have had access to “K” and “I” in old Encyclopedias, it seems. Anyone with an encyclopedia would know Iraq’s fate once Saddam was removed. Israel hasn’t been able to find the “P” volume, it appears. No one else could even find the “K” or “I”. Or, couldn’t read?

For those gluttons for punishment who wish or need to try to unravel the Reuters news about German energy policy and link to the original documents: http://www.germanenergyblog. de/
BASF 1866
BASF Werk Ludwigshafen 1866

Hard to understand, about as clear as smog, but it seems that now, contrary to the Reuters News titles, Merkel is punishing companies who produce their own renewable energy. For some time, it looks like she needs to hire a Swiss accountant to take care of how to help her apparent heavy industry friends get out from under taxation. (The same sector, heavy industry, and actually some of the same companies who supported Hitler, no less!)
From Reuters News Feed (see below): “Berlin and the Commission have been at odds over the German policy under which consumers pay a surcharge to finance renewable energy while heavy industrial users are exempt.http://feeds.reuters.com/~r/reuters/USenergyNews/~3/KChla63lvUY/story01.htm

Merkel should pass the problems of the heavy industry’s taxes to experts in that domain (i.e. Swiss accountants) and use her physical chemistry degree to come up with a solution for German radioactive waste which does NOT involve dumping on other countries! Now there’s a winning idea! No more dumping of German nuclear sludge on Italian farmland, no more burning or dumping German nuclear waste in the USA or in Russia! Basta! Enough! Das ist genug!

German chemistry giant BASF opened its ugly mouth in Reuters News (see below) in an apparent attempt to undermine Germany’s green energy tax. Long before BASF “wrote the book” on locking out its workers, “In 1925, BASF merged with Bayer, Hoechst and three other companies to form I.G. Farbenindustrie AG. Between 1933 and 1945, I.G. Farben played a central role in the Nazi economy. During World War II, the company manufactured poison gas used at extermination camps and employed forced and slave labor. Several company directors and senior managers were tried for war crimes and crimes against humanity“. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BASF (Emphasis added)

BASF also “wrote the book” on locking out unionized workers:
Timothy Minchin’s Forging a Common Bond is the most detailed study to date of the struggle of OCAW (Oil, Chemical, and Atomic Workers) Local 4-620 against the German-based, world-wide industrial giant, BASF chemical company. The battle between BASF and Local 4-620, which had fewer than 400 members at the time, began in June 1984 with a lockout by the company, whose clear intent was to break the union. It ended in December 1989 with a victory for the union.” (Emphasis added) From Michael Goldfield’s review: http://digitalcommons.ilr.cornell.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1065&context=ilrreview
Forging a Common Bond: Labor and Environmental Activism during the BASF Lockout. By Timothy Minchin (Gainesville: University Press of Florida, 2003. ix plus 233 pp.). A large billboard metaphorically looms over Timothy Minchin’s wonderful book,… Located high above a roadside forest along Louisiana’s Route 10, the sign asked motorists… , ‘BASF: Bhopal on the Bayou?,’ in the hopes of linking environmental dangers at the company’s nearby chemical plant to the 1984 Union Carbide eco-disaster in Bhopal, India. Minchin uses the sign, put up in 1986 by workers locked out of the BASF plant in Geismar, Louisiana, to illustrate the unlikely alliance that took place during the lockout between labor and environmental activists… Minchin tells the story of the longest lockout in United States history, which lasted more than five and one half years from June 1984 until December of 1989 and pitted the German chemical giant BASF against a small local of the Oil, Chemical, and Atomic Workers’ International Union (OCAW). Three issues dominated the breakdown in labor-management negotiations: the company’s desire to eliminate a provision allowing workers to switch jobs on the basis of seniority rather than skill, a rollback in wages, and an increase in the percentage of health care costs paid by workers. While such concerns are typical of many labor disputes, the union’s reaction to the subsequent lockout was anything but. When the usual tactics of letter-writing, product boycotts, and daily picket lines proved ineffective, OCAW initiated a corporate campaign aimed at raising negative publicity for BASF in the hopes that public pressure would force the company back to the bargaining table. What was most novel about OCAW’s efforts, however, was its alliance with local, state, and national environmental groups in an effort to draw attention to BASF’s abysmal, and often unhealthy, environmental record in Geismar. “By raising the issue of plant safety,” writes Minchin, “the union had secured national media attention, and the focus of coverage had shifted away from traditional labor-management issues and towards environmental issues” (p. 66)…” (Emphasis our own) Excerpt of Book Review by Neil M. Maher, Journal of Social History 38.1 (2004) 251-253 https://muse.jhu.edu/login?auth=0&type=summary&url=/journals/journal_of_social_history/v038/38.1maher.html

At least the UN did something right for a change, protecting Tasmania! Australia – that makes lots of sense – ungracious colonial settler state, which steals the land from the indigenous peoples and then tries to destroy it through mining and logging! Non-indigenous are suffering too now!

Our Comment: There is an incorrect statement above regarding sweating. Of course, you sweat in high humity. In a humid tropical or subtropical climate sweat pours off in rivers (or is it condensing humidity?). However, one of the symptoms of heat stroke is inability to sweat! They have muddled this point. We continue to believe that hot, dry weather, and desertification should be the real concern. Regardless, drink plenty of fluids and stay in the shade, as much as possible.

Here is a chart from the US NOAA explaining when heat and humidity become dangerous. Note that the comment about in the direct sun vs. not in the sun. http://www.srh.noaa.gov/oun/?n=safety-summer-heatindex Conversion link: http://www.wikihow.com/Convert-Between-Fahrenheit-and-Celsius

Forget “climate change” or not, the key is to simply stop doing things which are bad for the environment. In the US sunbelt, which is discussed, like Atlanta and Miami, solar power for indoor climate control is the solution. Vehicles can also easily be solar powered. And, planting trees outdoors and “moving from shade tree to shade tree”, when outside. To a limited extent, Umbrella-Parasols can act a bit like mobile shade trees. Hence the word “parasol”, to protect against the sun. Atlanta, Georgia is a classic US case of micro-climate change induced by too much pavement. If we cease doing what is bad for the environment then all the rest will fall into place. Sun or wind, or some combo, depending on climate is a no-brainer!

ultraviolet image of the Cygnus Loop Nebula, taken by NASA’s Galaxy Evolution Explorer.
Wispy tendrils of hot dust and gas glow brightly in this ultraviolet image of the Cygnus Loop Nebula, taken by NASA’s Galaxy Evolution Explorer. The nebula lies about 1,500 light-years away, and is a supernova remnant, left over from a massive stellar explosion that occurred 5,000-8,000 years ago. The Cygnus Loop extends more than three times the size of the full moon in the night sky, and is tucked next to one of the ‘swan’s wings’ in the constellation of Cygnus. The filaments of gas and dust visible here in ultraviolet light were heated by the shockwave from the supernova, which is still spreading outward from the original explosion. The original supernova would have been bright enough to be seen clearly from Earth with the naked eye. 26 March 2012“, The Galaxy Evolution Explorer, GALEX has solar cells which supply nearly 300 watts to the spacecraft. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GALEX http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultraviolet_astronomy

The inevitable result of the second Iraq war (of recent times) is its fragmentation. Its pieces were only held together by dictatorship. Obama was one of the rare politicians to vote against the intervention in Iraq. The blame for that destructive war falls upon Cheney-Bush and those who jumped along with them, such as Blair.

Blaise Compaore has ruled Burkina, since he had his buddy Thomas Sankara killed in 1987. That’s over a quarter of a century! They need term limits! But, so does the US Congress and all Parliaments. Love him or hate him, President Obama will soon be gone, but there are plenty in Congress who have been there far to long and are like petty dictators. Congressional seniority for important positions must be ended, even more urgently. How come it is commonly believed that President for life is a problem, but Congressman or Parliamentarian for life is not considered a problem?

New Post: https://miningawareness.wordpress.com/2014/06/20/routine-radioactive-release-from-nuclear-power-plants-in-the-usa-and-elsewhere/
Routine Radioactive Releases from US NPP Beyond Nuclear p. 1

How about getting Japan to stop pouring radioactive water into the Pacific? How about some new US EPA rules to protect air and water from radionuclide emissions? How about letting the US have the same or more protective standards for radiation in food, compared to Japan? Why does the US FDA allow around 15 times more radiation in food than Japan does? (Canada and Australia allow around 10 times more). How about President Obama ceasing and desisting from his pro-nuclear agenda! He doesn’t love his children? How about NOT importing High Level Nuclear Waste from Germany to pollute the Savannah River and poor people there in South Carolina, and ultimately the Atlantic too? How about taking the recent US Federal loan away from the Vogtle new build Nuclear Reactor, which will use up and pollute water from the Savannah River? How about that? That would be news.

Obama’s wife and children still have kin in South Carolina for Christ’s sake! What is wrong with the man? If you know the history of both the US, and of his family, he is probably kin to most of the South Carolina whites, and his wife to the South Carolina blacks! His children to both. They have family in Georgia too, which will be impacted by both this and the Vogtle reactors. Do they hate their origins so much? Is he kissing up to his buddy Queen Elizabeth, and her German relatives? The Queen of England is largely German, but they changed their name to Windsor during World War I or II for PR purposes. Obama claims distant kin to her non-German relatives.

Is it his relationship with the CEO of Honeywell, David Cote? WTF is wrong with the man? Have they threatened him or his family to make him submit, as they appear to have done to former President Aristide of Haiti and some of his associates? Or, is he so ignorant and misled? How can he prefer Germany to his own?

And, why is Germany getting by with spreading mini-holocausts (or major?) throughout the world by exporting its nuclear waste to the farmlands of Italy, to Russia, to Tennessee, USA and now to South Carolina? How is that ok? Japan is also killing people off – less surprising since PM Abe IS grandson to a notorious and important fascist! What in the Pacific will be left to protect if Japan continues to dump radiation into it? God will damn them all in the hereafter but how’s that going to help all of the poor people, plants and animals in the here and now? Will the world survive this “Greed is good” generation being in power? It appears doubtful. Something’s gotta give.

Obama says Iran can play a constructive role in Iraq
Posted:Thu, 19 Jun 2014 18:08:35 GMT
WASHINGTON, June 19 (Reuters) – President Barack Obama on Thursday said Iran can play a constructive role in Iraq if it follows the U.S. lead in pressing for all sides within Iraq to be respected.

19 June 2014, 10 pm UTC correction:
We corrected the post to indicate that Energy Capital Partners had already owned Energy Solutions for 3 months prior to the e-mails by an Energy Solutions Industrial Hygienist, to LANL, requesting permission to change the WIPP neutralizer. If this proves the cause of the WIPP fiasco, then it did happen on the watch of Doug Kimmelman et. al. of Energy Capital Partners. (10.50 pm addition: On the other hand, the request for a new absorbent by the Industrial Hygienist was 2 weeks prior to Energy Solutions merging with Energy Capital Partners so not on Kimmelman’s watch). What do the ongoing WIPP and Fukushima Nuclear Fiascos and Goldman Sachs have in common?
WIPP 22 May 2014
How WIPP Handles Nuclear Waste

The answer is named “Energy Solutions” and its current owner “Energy Capital Partners”.

Firstly, nuclear waste needs to be handled as a non-profit, probably community based, run by people who love and adore the waste – no joke – love it enough to carefully number it and obsessively-compulsively monitor it for all of eternity. Care for it like the life and death matter it is. Instead, we have former Goldman Sachs investment bankers running nuclear waste dump get-ups for profit like Energy Solutions. And, presumably they are in the business to make a killing – financial that is, which in the nuclear waste business can only translate into a real killing through radionuclides poisoning the earth – which is why investment bankers have no business dealing in nuclear waste, in our opinion.

The CEO of Energy Solutions since June of 2012 has been David Lockwood who was a former Managing Director at Goldman Sachs. He joined the board of Energy Solutions in November of 2010. The CEO, and most partners, of Energy Capital Partners (who currently own Energy Solutions) are former Goldman Sachs managing directors. The CEO, Doug Kimmelman, was a Goldman Sachs managing director and partner.

Recall that Energy Solutions has been left in place, still failing to deal with the radioactive water situation at Fukushima, since March of 2012. This is perplexing. Once shown incapable they should have been quickly shown the door. Instead, radioactive water builds up and gets dumped into the ocean for over 2 years now. Who manages Fukushima but Toshiba. Toshiba is part of the Mitsui “Keiretsu” conglomerate group, which centers around the Sumitomo Mitsui bank. Sumitomo Mitsui has repeatedly invested in Goldman Sachs going back to at least 1986, when Sumitomo bought a 12.5 percent stake in Goldman Sachs. Hence, we suspect that a friendship exists between the former Goldman Sachs managing directors-partners and Sumitomo Mitsui bankers, which has led to too many chances given to Energy Solutions – an admission that their ALPS system failed would look really bad for them.

Frighteningly, the CEO of Energy Capital Partners (Doug Kimmelman) serves on the Advisory Council of Stanford Woods Environmental Institute (Stanford University) and donated $5 million for environmental research, etc. at Stanford. Priscilla B. Woods who is on that Council with him (apparently she and her husband are the Woods in the name) also serves on the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, WHOI, (presumably she serves on the board). WHOI has had Ken Buesseler running around and telling everyone that Fukushima is like bananas and other misleading nonsense. Please banana growers hurry and file a lawsuit against WHOI, if you haven’t! WHOI is also affiliated with MIT, from whence comes the current head of the US Dept. of Energy, Moniz – ardent nuclear supporter. Stanford and MIT are still rated top US and world universities, so this environmental research will carry weight. In short, with this donation, Kimmelman bought both major ideological clout, along with a tax write-off. This is the way of American universities. Stanford is well-known for its research for the US military-industrial complex, and as a top CIA university – no surprises that Condoleeza Rice was there.

Energy Solutions is also involved at Sellafield. As well, through FCC Environment and Waste Recycling Group, it is involved with putting radioactive waste in the Lillyhall Cumbria landfill, near a school. Juan del Rivero, former CEO of Goldman Sachs Spain was recruited by Omega Capital which manages Alicia Koplowitz’ money. Alicia is sister to Esther – owner of FCC.

Energy Solutions appears to carry a large burden of the responsibility for the WIPP fiasco, based on the following emails-documents, which seem to indicate that Energy Solutions is responsible for processing of the waste stream, and assuming it has to do with choosing a new absorbent or neutralizer, as has been proposed, or anything else for which they are responsible: http://www.nmenv.state.nm.us/NMED/Issues/documents/5.19.14-Combined-ESTransmittalofNeutralizersUsedinNSProcessin.pdf (The link has four dots between the last n and pdf, but it won’t show on this blog, so cut and paste and make certain there are four dots total between the n and the pdf. Alternatively, search for WIPP emails energy solutions, and go through the link at ENE news. This is at the New Mexico Department of the Environment and not the WIPP site, but not easy to find within the site). The e-mail regarding a change in neutralizer was sent in late August of 2013, 3 months after Energy Capital Partners officially merged into Energy Solutions (ca 24 May 2013). Hence, if this is the cause of the incident, responsibility falls squarely upon Kimmelman et. al. of Energy Capital Partners, as well as David Lockwood, President and CEO of Energy Solutions since June 2012, and board member since November 2010. The request for a change in absorbent took place two weeks before Energy Capital Partners became owners (May 2013), though negotiations for Energy Capital Partners to become owners had been in place from January. Regardless, David Lockwood was already CEO of Energy Solutions, so would bear responsibility.

Kimmelman is a former Managing Director-Partner of Goldman Sachs. Lockwood is a former a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs and also taught “corporate leadership” at the Stanford Grad School of Business. The majority of US Universities, along with some in other countries, should just be all closed down – the whole lot of them, starting with Stanford. Corporate leadership, my eye! Most journalists want to let the Energy Solutions Industrial Hygienist off the hook, because he said he wasn’t an expert in criticality, but their Industrial Hygienist should have known his job. So, if a change to a new neutralizer or absorbent in the WIPP waste stream, chosen by him, or anything else chosen by him, caused the WIPP fiasco, then the culprit appears the person who chose the product, the Industrial Hygienist at Energy Solutions, and by extension its CEO and owners. There was one CEO, but a transition in ownership in the period in question.

It is clear that Energy Solutions-Energy Capital Partners are responsible for staying at Fukushima, with an inoperable ALPS system, instead of gracefully bowing out and letting someone else do the job. So, the investment bankers at Energy Solutions – Energy Capital Partners are responsible for poisoning the Pacific. If they keep on and the phytoplankton die, then we will all die for lack of oxygen. More oxygen is produced by phytoplankton in the ocean, than in forests. If greed and arrogance continue to rule, we all die.

Regarding Energy Solutions at Fukushima since March of 2012: http://www.theguardian.com/environment/2012/mar/14/energysolutions-fukushima-clean-up-contract
On the 21 of May, 2014, Reuters reported the following about the Energy Solutions ALPS (Advanced Liquid Processing System):
A water treatment facility known as the Advanced Liquid Processing System, designed to remove the most dangerous nuclides, was completely shut down again this week. The system has not been fully operational since it was installed nearly two years ago.http://feeds.reuters.com/~r/reuters/environment/~3/N5wi8D-D4cc/story01.htm

In March the Japanese Times reported:
Tepco halts ALPS water cleanup system at Fukushima nuke plant“JIJI, MAR 18, 2014
Tokyo Electric Power Co. halted the operations of all three advanced radioactive water cleanup systems, collectively called Advanced Liquid Processing System, or ALPS, at the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant on Tuesday.http://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2014/03/18/national/tepco-halts-alps-water-cleanup-system-at-fukushima-nuke-plant
They state: “With its daily processing capacity of 750 tons, ALPS is regarded as a key element in containing the radioactive water crisis at the crippled plant. However, due to a series of problems, Tepco has yet to start full operations.” (Emphasis added)
