Obama Dumping German Nuclear Waste on Americans?
Is this what Obama and Merkel are Really Talking about?
Is the USA a colony of the German Empire?

U.S. Confirms Discussions with Germany regarding Import of Highly Radioactive Spent Nuclear Fuel; FOIA Document Indicates Discussions Began in 2011 for Import of Graphite Spent Fuel from Shuttered Gas-Cooled Experimental Power Reactor – to DOE’s Savannah River Site – April 29, 2014http://www.srswatch.org

The US gov recently allowed low-level German nuclear waste to be burned in Tennessee: http://www.nonukesyall.org/stop_German_waste_import.html
Last autumn declassified Italian documents from ca 1996 which revealed that German radioactive sludge had been dumped on the fertile farmlands of southern Italy by the Camorra.
US Ethnicity
US Census Map – Note German Ancestry in the north and American and African American ancestry in Tennessee and South Carolina. We added the tags for emphasis, but we couldn’t make this up! Sometimes reality is more bizarre than anything else Also, more Americans claim to be German than any other ethnic group! (NB: This is the mode, most frequently occurring response, not necessarily majority). See original here: http://www.census.gov/population/www/cen2000/censusatlas/pdf/9_Ancestry.pdf

For how the Atomic Age started: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Einstein–Szilárd_letter Einstein was German born and received his doctorate in Zurich Switzerland.

Explains the ancestry of Obama’s maternal grandmother, who raised him, as non-German indentured servants — those who identify themselves as “American” on the census: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madelyn_Lee_Payne Germany’s big and bad enough to make Obama sell out his mother and wife’s people and all of those who voted for him. It was Germany’s Das Spiegel who had a cover of Obama as Messiah in 2008 “Der Messias-Factor (The Messiah-Factor)” … Hmmm…. He was also more wildly popular in Germany and German speaking Switzerland than America. Was this a sign?

Note that some Germans seem to oppose sending nuclear waste to the US on cost and safety grounds. But, what about ethical grounds? Whatever happened to ethics?

While we are discussing such things, looking on the map, the WIPP facility appears to be located in an area of New Mexico where the population is predominantly of Mexican origin. Once again, this was the mode. In 2010, Hispanics or Latinos, of any race, in Carlsbad, New Mexico was 42.5% of the population, compared to 16.7% national population (2011). New Mexico is 46.3% Hispanic-Latino (2010) compared to 42.1% (2000). WIPP opened in 1999.

World Business As Usual

Ukraine is being destroyed over oil and gas; France is out to protect its uranium and other mines in the Central African Republic and Sahel Region of Niger-Mali.

Guess what sort of trade Merkel and Obama are discussing really? They are probably discussing dumping high level German nuclear waste in South Carolina, USA. It just so happens, too, that the area is about 48% African American. But, the Germans appear more broadly racist when it comes to waste – recently burning their low level waste in Tennessee and, in the past, sending their radioactive sludge to be spread over the agricultural south of Italy. This is not a class or space or suitability issue. Germany has plenty of quasi vacant areas of tiny, poor villages, and a more suitable climate and geology than South Carolina – they are both too wet, but Germany is not as hot. Germany is earthquake-prone, but so too is South Carolina! Germany is already polluted by Chernobyl and its own mining and waste, so it’s not exactly a pristine environment. So, there are only two possible reasons that Germany is trying to dump on South Carolina: 1) US standards are weaker than German standards and/or 2) Germany is still racist against all non-Germans.

Ironically, we suspect that the waste which has given WIPP problems may have been originally meant for Savannah River. With the problems at WIPP do you really think that the US needs German waste?

Secret documents reveal Abbot Pt dredging should not have been approved
Revelatory documents released under Freedom of Information legislation cast a new light on these controversial approvals. They show that:
 The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA) advised the Federal Department of the Environment not to approve dredging at Abbot Point under the EPBC Act.
 In mid 2013, GBRMPA was preparing to refuse both the sea dumping permit and the marine parks permit.
 The GBRMPA considered the water quality offset plan to be unrealistic.
Instead, all three approvals were granted, raising serious questions about the Federal Government’s stewardship of the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area

Study finds Fukushima radioactivity in tuna off Oregon, Washington
Posted:Wed, 30 Apr 2014 00:16:58 GMT
PORTLAND Ore. (Reuters) – A sample of albacore tuna caught off the shores of Oregon and Washington state have small levels of radioactivity from the 2011 Fukushima nuclear disaster in Japan, researchers said on Tuesday.
http://feeds.reuters.com/~r/reuters/INworldNews/~3/1SYZuwIRcsg/story01.htm

The above research appears patent nuclear boloney of the BS and malarkey sort – not the food variety. And the professors get paid! It gives basically the same patently false blah, blah, that the amount is less than “background” or natural radiation, etc. Firstly, it is important to recall that whether or not background radiation is safe or not, it is with us and we can’t do anything about it. We can, however, stop using nuclear energy and we can, as a world, choose to handle nuclear waste properly and not half-ass. Risk is cumulative and hence any additional exposure increases risk. Also, which “other sources” are they speaking of? What radionuclides did they test for?

GUESS WHAT? IF RESEARCHERS DON’T LOOK THEY DON’T FIND! IF THEY DON’T WANT TO FIND THEY DON’T LOOK! RESEARCH IS ONLY AS GOOD AS THE QUESTIONS ASKED.

Ah! Of course, in another article, we found that they tested for Caesium 134 – with a half-life of 2 years! The Tepco disaster was 3 years ago! But, did they check for Caesium 137 or Strontium 90 with half-lives of about 30 years? Did they test for plutonium or americium with half-lives of hundreds or even millions of years? Nope! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isotopes_of_caesium#Caesium-134

Most important is that external exposures to gamma ray or x-rays must be distinguished from internal “committed” dose, which would come from eating fish. The problem is not carrying the fish around, it is eating it!

The oft-cited US Academy of Sciences BEIR report has consistently said for decades that there is no safe dose of ionizing radiation – BUT they are speaking of Low LET Radiation. The High LET, which comes from alpha emitters such as plutonium and americium is worse! And, radionuclides which are eaten, are cumulative – hence the term “committed dose” and they continue to irradiate you from within. Most assumptions assume a one-time internal exposure, and clean food and water. This is a false assumption, in an increasingly contaminated world, where some radionuclides will reach a steady state equilibrium over time. Others, may continue to simply accumulate.

Remember: No Safe Dose of Ionizing Low LET Radiation, But High LET Alpha Is Worse

The long-accepted standard of no safe dose of ionizing radiation, increasing dose is increasing risk, applies to external x-rays and gamma rays. The impact of internal, more powerful, alpha radiation, such as plutonium and americium, is recognized as much more severe. Alpha radiation is internal, more intensely damaging, and plutonium and americium, for instance, can stay in the body for a life-time, continuing their intensive bombardment. The half-life in the body of plutonium and americium is 20 to 50 years or more.

According to the US Center of Disease Control (and others):
The amount of energy that the radiation transfers per unit of path length is called its linear energy transfer (LET) and is measured in units of MeV/µm. This feature reflects a radiation’s ability to produce biological damage. Radiation is classified as either high linear energy transfer (high LET) or low linear energy transfer (low LET), based on the amount of energy it transfers per unit path length it travels. Alpha radiation is high LET; beta and gamma radiation are low LET. Alpha particles are classified as high LET radiation because their large +2 charge and relatively large mass (about 7,200 times that of an electron) cause them to move relatively slowly and interact strongly with any material they pass through, producing dense ionization along its path. Beta particles, which are energetic electrons, are classified as low LET radiation. Even though they interact with matter in a manner similar to alpha particles, their smaller +1 or -1 charge and smaller mass result in a greater distance between ionizing collisions and, thus, a lower rate of energy transfer“. http://www.atsdr.cdc.gov/toxprofiles/tp149-c2.pdf

Recall that 239Pu is an alpha emitter with a half-life of 24,110 years, 240Pu is an alpha emitter with a half life of 6,561 years, 241Pu is a Beta emitter with a half-life of 14.325 years, but which becomes 241 Americium which is a strong alpha emitter with a half-life of 432 years, and 242Pu is an alpha emitter with a half-life of 373,300 years. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isotopes_of_plutonium http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isotopes_of_americium#Americium-241
Plutonium has a half-life in the body of about 20 to 50 years (some authors give 60 or 70 years or more).

The BEIR VII report is well-known for its Linear No-Threshold Model (LNT), i.e. no safe dose: “the risk of cancer proceeds in a linear fashion at lower doses without a threshold and that the smallest dose has the potential to cause a small increase in risk to humans.” However, BEIR only “focuses on the health effects of low levels of low linear energy transfer (low-LET) ionizing radiation such as x-rays and gamma rays.” They point out that “Most radiation sources have a mixture of high- and low-LET radiation. Compared to high-LET radiation, low-LET radiation deposits less energy in the cell along the radiation path and is considered less destructive per radiation track.http://www.dep.state.pa.us/brp/radon_division/BEIR%20VII%20Preliminary%20Report.pdf

In other words, ionizing radiation from high LET alpha particles, which may be inhaled, ingested and even absorbed through skin, is even more dangerous! The BEIR report focuses on x-ray and gamma-ray exposure, which is considered less dangerous and destructive, than the internal alpha radiation, both because it is more “destructive per radiation track” and because it stays in the body over time. Gamma-ray exposure can also occur over time in a contaminated environment.

Taiwan to halt construction of fourth nuclear power plant
Posted:Sun, 27 Apr 2014 15:08:56 GMT
TAIPEI, April 27 (Reuters) – The Taiwan government will halt construction at the island’s fourth nuclear power plant, an official said on Sunday, as local opposition to atomic energy continues to mount.

Anti-Nuclear Protests in Taiwan
(To contextualize the number of demonstrators, Taiwan’s 2013 population was 23,373,517. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Taiwan)

In March 2011, around 2,000 anti-nuclear protesters demonstrated in Taiwan for an immediate end to the construction of the island’s fourth nuclear power plant. The protesters were also opposed to lifespan extensions for three existing nuclear plants.[8]

In April 2011, 5,000 people joined an anti-nuclear protest in Taipei City, which had a carnival-like atmosphere, with protesters holding yellow banners and waving sunflowers. This was part of a nationwide “No Nuke Action” protest, against construction of a Fourth Nuclear Plant and in favour of a more renewable energy policy.[16]

On World Environment Day in June 2011, environmental groups demonstrated against Taiwan’s nuclear power policy. The Taiwan Environmental Protection Union, together with 13 environmental groups and legislators, gathered in Taipei and protested against the nation’s three operating nuclear power plants and the construction of a fourth plant.[9]

In March 2012, about 2,000 people staged an anti-nuclear protest in Taiwan’s capital following the massive earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan one year ago. The protesters rallied in Taipei to renew calls for a nuclear-free island by taking lessons from Japan’s disaster on March 11, 2011. They ‘want the government to scrap a plan to operate a newly constructed nuclear power plant – the fourth in densely populated Taiwan’. Scores of aboriginal protesters ‘demanded the removal of 100,000 barrels of nuclear waste stored on their Orchid Island, off south-eastern Taiwan. Authorities have failed to find a substitute storage site amid increased awareness of nuclear danger over the past decade’.[17]

In March 2013, 68,000 Taiwanese protested across major cities against the island’s fourth nuclear power plant, which is under construction. Taiwan’s three existing nuclear plants are near the ocean, and prone to earthquakes caused by geological fractures under the island.[18]

On 19 May 2013, 10,000 Taiwanese protested in Taipei against the further development of nuclear power in Taiwan. The protest was launched by an environmental protection organization to protest the construction of the fourth nuclear power plant. Protesters held banners and flags with writings such as No Nuclear Power or We Don’t Want Another Fukushima.[19]

On 26 May 2013, hundreds of Taiwanese protested in Taipei calling to vote down the nuclear power referendum bill and to stop the construction of Taiwan’s fourth nuclear power plant. Protesters form a big yellow words displaying STOP in front of Legislative Yuan. The protest came a few days before the plan by Kuomintang to push through a bill to hold a referendum in Taiwan and decide the fate of the fourth nuclear power plant.[20]

On 2 August 2013, nearly 100 activists from Taiwan Anti-Nuclear Action League protested against the fourth nuclear power plant in front of Legislative Yuan. They urged the government to immediately stop the project. The league composed of members from Taiwan Environmental Protection Union, Humanistic Education Foundation and Green Citizens’ Action Alliance.[21]

On 16 August 2013, Taiwanese held a press conference in Taipei to demand Taipower to stop further electricity price hike, stop construction of the fourth nuclear power plant and stop lying to the public.[22]

On 24 August 2013, over 1,000 Taiwanese gathered at Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall to demand the government to stop constructing the fourth nuclear power plant. The event was organized by Moms Love Taiwan. The organization made three request during the demonstration, which were for the government to come up with energy policies, promote education on environmental and energy matters and publish the timetable for a nuclear-free Taiwan.[23]

In March 2014, around 130,000 Taiwanese marched for an anti-nuclear protest around Taiwan. They demanded that the government remove nuclear power plants in Taiwan. The march came ahead of the 3rd anniversary of Fukushima disaster. Around 50,000 people marched in Taipei while another three separates event were held around other Taiwanese cities attended by around 30,000 people.[24][25] Among the participants are the organizations from Green Citizen Action’s Alliance, Homemakers United Foundation, Taiwan Association for Human Rights and Taiwan Environmental Protection Union.[26]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_power_in_Taiwan (references and additional info at link: emphasis our own).

Declaration of arbroath
The Declaration of Arbroath is a declaration of Scottish independence, made in 1320. It is in the form of a letter submitted to Pope John XXII, dated 6 April 1320, intended to confirm Scotland’s status as an independent, sovereign state and defending Scotland’s right to use military action when unjustly attacked… The Declaration made a number rhetorical points: that Scotland had always been independent, indeed for longer than England; that Edward I of England had unjustly attacked Scotland and perpetrated atrocities; that Robert the Bruce had delivered the Scottish nation from this peril; and, most controversially, that the independence of Scotland was the prerogative of the Scottish people, rather than the King of Scots. In fact it stated that the nobility would choose someone else to be king if Bruce proved to be unfit in maintaining Scotland’s independence. Some have interpreted this last point as an early expression of ‘popular sovereignty'[4] – that government is contractual and that kings can be chosen by the community rather than by God alone.” Most cited quote from the translation of the Declaration: “for, as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom – for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Declaration_of_Arbroath (Emphasis Added: References and more info at link)

26 April 1986, 28 Years Ago Today, The Chernobyl Disaster and It’s Ongoing
View of Chernobyl taken from Pripyat
The abandoned city of Pripyat with Chernobyl plant in the distance

The Chernobyl disaster (Ukrainian: Чорнобильська катастрофа, Chornobylska Katastrofa – Chornobyl Catastrophe; also referred as Chernobyl or the Chornobyl accident) was a catastrophic nuclear accident that occurred on 26 April 1986 at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine (then officially the Ukrainian SSR), which was under the direct jurisdiction of the central authorities of the Soviet Union. An explosion and fire released large quantities of radioactive particles into the atmosphere, which spread over much of the western USSR and Europe.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chernobyl_disaster

The following is a re-post from our Thursday, 24 April, 2014 News, for those who missed it. (New postings of Reuters News Feeds Continue Below it)

Current, 2014, Situation in Ukraine Endangers Clean-up and Containment of Chernobyl and Keeps Doctors from Helping Children with Heart Conditions Caused by Chernobyl

Notice that Ireland has undergone structural adjustment, and Ireland has impoverished people and homeless, and yet Ireland has given almost 2 euros (1.7 euros) per person to help better entomb the Chernobyl reactor. In contrast, Russia, who made the mess at Chernobyl in the first place with a faulty reactor design, has promised only 10 cents per person! (Per capita breakdown of pledges below) Ireland has no nuclear, either! By leaving the UK behind them, they opted out of the Empire, and thus did not have nuclear forced upon them. Ireland is nuclear free.

For Ongoing Construction of Safe Containment for the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant:
Ireland 4.5 million population gave 8 million euros or 1.7 euros per person
Russia 143.5 million population pledged 15 million euros
or 0.10 euros (10 cents) per person
USA 317.8 million population pledged 182 million euros
or 0.57 euros (57 cents) per person
Ukraine 45.59 million population pledged 45 million euros
or 0.98 euros (98 cents) per person
Germany 81.89 million population pledged 60 million euros,
or 0.73 euros (73 cents) per person
UK 63.23 million population pledged 53 million euros
or 0.838 euros (83 cents) per person

Escalating Ukraine-Russia hostilities raises new Chernobyl fears on 28th Anniversary Apr 23, 2014
The increasingly volatile situation in strife-torn Ukraine has raised fresh fears over a $2 billion internationally funded construction project to make the still highly unstable Chernobyl nuclear power plant safe for the next 100 years
At the heart of this latest setback for the huge engineering project is the economic crisis facing Ukraine because of the continuing destabilising tensions in the east of the country where separatist groups are seeing closer integration with the Russian Federation and uncertainty over Russia’s contribution to the globally funded clean up and containment programme.

The EU has pledged €250 million towards the cost of the Safe Confinement project; the US €182 million, Germany €60 million, the UK €53 million, Ukraine €45 million, Russia €15 million. Ireland has contributed €8 million towards the cost of building a gigantic concrete shield or ‘sarcophagus’ over the still leaking reactor.” (Emphasis added) Read the entire article here: http://www.chernobyl-international.com/news/2014/04/23/escalating-ukraine-russia-hostilities-raises-new-chernobyl-fears-on-28th-anniversary

An Irish charity has collected a lot of money to help the children of Chernobyl. This conflict in Ukraine also undermines that effort.

ESCALATING CRISIS IN UKRAINE FORCES SUSPENSION OF IRISH AID PROGRAMME” Apr 14, 2014
Excerpt: “For the past 10 years teams of surgeons from the US and Canada have travelled to Ukraine and Belarus six times a year to perform operations on children who have been diagnosed with a condition known as ‘Chernobyl Heart’.

6,000 children are born with genetic heart diseases and defects in Ukraine each year. Medical experts there say these conditions, some of which they describe as ‘Chernobyl Heart’, are linked to radiation leaks from the Chernobyl nuclear plant accident in 1986
The ‘open heart’surgery programme to save the lives of these children is a joint initiative between Ireland, Ukraine and the US. The €3 million – the programme cost so far – has been raised entirely in Ireland by CCI donors and volunteer fundraising activities.
The operations are carried out in the Regional Hospital in Kharkiv in the east of Ukraine – by some of the world’s leading heart specialists – under the direction of the renowned US cardiologist Dr William Novick, Founder of the International Children’s Heart Foundation (ICHF)
